I can attest to Turbo50, he built mine and honestly, there is no comparison between the two...luckily for me I got his last build that he's going to produce for then"public"....and made a great friend....

I built the longblock, 2+ years ago, in this car. No tune, no install, etc. I'm sure there are plenty "crappy" combos that hung with it. Congrats.

I typically steer away from calling people out, as there are only a handful of Tards and windowlickers on this board, but you win the award...
Yes Alex, there are several people here that are and have been happy with the help I've provided the...not to mention various individuals, shops, and businesses that contact me for technical advice, all of which I've done over the years...free of charge.
The joke is you Alex. Anyone that talks shit YEARS (like 2007?) after we settled up on a car you couldn't wait to be finished, not to mention badmouths EVERY shop or individual that's worked on your car is a a b!tch in my book. I could give a sh!t if you don't care for my work, or my cars for that matter.
The racing community here in Wichita got a GREAT laugh outta the fact you misrepresented your car on another forum when you had it up for sale last year...then when the guy who bought it found out and wasn't going to pay you the full amount....you had your PARENTS car on your behalf, call the bank in which the check was cut in an attempt to obtain additional funds, etc... Classic. Funny how small this world is that a car I worked on 5-6+ years ago ends up in the SAME fukkin' town I moved to, with the majority of the SAME parts on it I saw YEARS ago.
The irony is I've worked on it since I've been here in Kansas...and it's actually faster now then when you had it. Funny how that works.
Stick to school and spending your parents money.
Chevyeatr aka Johnny...when you run a new engine low on oil, then compound the issue with spraying on it, a engine can and will take a sh!t. 2 years ago when we sent texts and PMs back and forth, I stated I'd fix ANYTHING that possibly was my mistake; be it the build, assembly, whatever. Pics you sent told all I needed to see...you beat the sh!t outta it. Call it what you want, say you didn't spray on it when a system is complete and installed, didn't beat on it, whatever...doesn't matter. I can tell you that, to my knowledge, you are the only person to kill a engine I've built. Congrats.
I stand behind all my work. I'm no shop, but I do have integrity. That's why I paid to have a engine shipped out to me this week to fix an oil leak. Yes, a oil leak. I built this engine over two years ago as well. I didn't have to, but I believe in taking care of people and doing what's right.

LOL... Funny how u took offense to my comment when it wasn't aimed at you, or your engine building. My comment was aimed at Terrances grandma shifting & subway sandwich building while we raced. The car had a nicely put together combo that ran good & reliable, nuff said.

I don't dispute that the car had a lengthy aftermarket parts list.
However, I have been quoted ~$5000 for a decent paint job at a reputable shop with warranty. If I am not mistaken, that's right in the ballpark of what this car was being sold for after it was put together...
So my original comment stands

Terrence built that car around the same time I built mine. I had Dan, Turbo50 build mine, Terrence has his built by JohnB. My Combo:
306
Box stock TFS 170's
Crane 2030
Holly Systemax
BBK shorties
3.73's
Me and him ran neck n neck. I ran a best of 12.7 @ 111, and I IIRC, so did T's car.
Mine just looked better.

Explain your hand machined brake caliper adapters that had to be re done, or the "drilled and tapped" oil pan return line that was literally just punched through my stock oil pan.
Did you mention that I paid you $1000 cash extra when I picked my car up? So instead of paying around $3k I just gave you $4k even though it was weeks late, for no other reason than being appreciative because I knew you could use it.
Now, if your perfect John, explain why you had no hesitation to give the money right back when I confronted you? There's a reason why people ask who has a "good price" on gear and side work.
If anyone is interested in the guy that tried to scam me for my car. Look up Dustin Norton on any of the major forums (SVTperformance). He's scammed numerous people and is banned on all the forums. Your flat lying as you never touched the turbo, engine, rear, suspension as when I sold it. Maybe the valve covers were the same though.
Oh and if its funny that my parents name was on the bank statement of a car they owned, it sure is odd that a man like you has his girlfriend represent him when I came to collect my car and money.
I'm all for a logical argument but your running on emotions. Jealous of my parents? My education? That has no correlation to what I originally said, it's simply a false argument. If you want something that is true. My Dad went to over 15 years of college all on loans, it wasn't the easy way out at 18.

I've been on this site a long time. It was not even named California Fords when I first signed up. I have seen thousands of posts regarding John B and Turbo50 and can say that both these cats are stand up people and very valuable to our board. Hell, without people like them this board wouldn't be worth my time. That being said, is it possible someone had a bad experience with either of them? Ya, probably. But in my experience, both those guys would stand by there product and try to help out as best as possible. For gray03gt, anyone who knows these guys isnt going to listen much to what you have say...I would prob stop posting on this topic and leave it alone. Settle it in the pm's.

I'm just explaining that much of John's work was redone. And almost nothing he ever saw was on the car when it was sold. The idiot buyer, Norton, paid for the car sight unseen after having only seen 5-6 pictures (HIS IDEA), and then wasn't happy with it and tried to keep my car for $6k. He is a documented scam artist on many sites. John has a way of mixing facts with other carefully manipulated words. For the unknowing, it seems to be a great argument, but often what he says has no logical connection to the origin.
