VW and Audi are some the worst cars on the road today due to crappy reliability, high maintenance costs and over engineering that results in service head aches. Other German makes such as Mercedes Benz and BMW tend to suffer from reliability problems and things get really fun when the factory warranty runs out! $$$$$$$$ repair bills!

The Pontiac Aztec; ugly on the outside, very cheap plastic interior, poor reliability and an absolute pain in the ass to work on. It doesn't get much worse than that. At least the German junk looks good.

GM F body Camaro and fire birds; same story; very cheap looking plastic interior, a huge hump right in front of the passenger seat for the cat converter, a pain in the ass to work on.


Some of the best cars;
1999-2004 V6 and V8 mustangs; very easy to work on and service. reliable and nice looking.

Asian cars. Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Acura. easy to service and reliable. pick an LFA or a GTR if you want reliability and performance.

I think every car make had there fair share on making some crapi vehicles. Specially a lot of the 70's cars.

Yeah I agree, Yugo no doubt takes it in the U.S.
As far as abroad, there were some really bad ones that never made it here like some from Russia Hungary and India even.

I think the Edsel and the Ford Pinto are commonly accepted as bottom of the list...

I remember a case study I did in engineering school about the gas tanks rupturing during hard rear end collisions in the Pinto... scary stuff.
