2004 GT, Unknown year on headunit..
Ripped out my new system to put the stock deck in it.. And I am stuck..
Here's the problem..
I have three slots. (like pictured)
But two plugs?
And one of the two plugs doesnt look to go anywhere..:dunno

Might be aftermarket adapter plugs...are there any other plugs behind the dash that are spliced into the plugs you have pictured?

is that the original stock stereo? Some newer mustangs come with stock amps ( which the stock unit in pics appears to be) depending on the factory speaker system it came with. Your car appears to have regular harness (meaning you have no amp) and the head unit appears to be for a system with factory amp.

That is not the correct stereo for your vehicle. Your best bet is putting in an aftermarket stereo. Not only will you not have fitment issues but it will produce much better sound...

Your stang has audiophile harness, and the headunit you have is for 01-03. Which has a different harness.. Obviously. that's a no go there ghost rider. Put in a cheap radio or find a corrects factory unit.
