Stock [BS flag]

I say stock HCI. Probably 4.10s, exhaust, race pulley, 1.7s, and full drag suspension. As well as some weight reduction.

i believe its a stock 5.0, because they already tricked me.
What ppl have been doing is putting the new 5.0 motors in a
foxbody.
Running high elevens and average 12s.

So they are telling the truth about having a stock 5.0

A new stock 5.0 motor is going to trap atleast 107+, not 103.

seems easy to believe, my `89 with the old stock motor setup trapped 101, 13.01 et.

slicks, gears, no p/s, no a/c, alum driveshaft, stage2 clutch, 40" belt, no front swaybar, spares up front, longtubes, o/r x-pipe, dumped catback...and drive it like I hated it.

the engine was "stock" from the throttle body to the oil pan, never opened untouched. The car was not stock, there's a big difference.

Easy to believe my stock from tb to oil pan car went 13.40s at 101.3 and it was an 89 hatch.

+1
I went similar times in a stock coupe with gears.12's are very possible with a "stock" 5.0 and the right driver.

Most won't put in the effort to get every last bit out of the stock cionfigurations because it way to easy to just slap on some aftermarket parts.

Famous corral stocker...

He had some carefully selected bolt-ons and his big secret was weight reduction obviously...

VERY few guys have gone 12.99 at full weight (which is a bit of an ambiguous term since there could be quite a bit of weight variation depending on model and options).

I got close, 13.08 @ 102.6, but wasn't able to break the barrier. My 93 was 3250lbs at the time.

Did any of you read the article? The engine itself is 'stock'. Not the car. With aftermarket suspension, tires, alum driveshaft, radiator, a/c delete, built rearend, p/s bypass, and underdrive pulleys, the engine is stock, not the car.

So can you call that stock? I'd say NO!
