nope plead no contest. you ll waste your time and theyre time. pay the fines. remember depends on the court but when you show up usually this happens in criminal court not traffic court its a 2 pointer and its a vehicle misdemeanor not an infraction.

Lol same shit I thought... better question would be, "should I contest the ticket and pray my ass off the officer doesn't show up"

Why are you doing 130?

Posted by NEIGHT (Member # 8741) on :

130!? Why the hell did u stop!? Shit you wouldve got away easily at that speed the cop would never have enough time to catch you

ur pretty fucked bro, nothin to fight

Posted by Stangn5oh (Member # 10875) on :

No joke bro, i would plea no contest and pay fees. Street racers including me should understand we get away with alot of it and when u get caught your caught accept the consequences. Im dealing with a $900 dollar ticket tommarow and a $500 dollar ticket in collections, shit happens.

On the other hand "true story" my brother got 23 points on his record within 2-3 year period, he fought each one and only got 11points cuz the cop never showed for the ones that were dismissed. He payed $12,000 in fines/ tickets etc last tax season. And no joke he has a licence as of now. Some of you might know fabian aka "taco" w/ a white w/red checkered stripes 01 ws6, black n yellew 08 r6

so depends on your luck. Sorry for the long story

damn, CHP saw it and got you on your radar hitting 130?! your better off copping a plea and saying yes you did it and you will never do it again...the commissioner might go easy on you, maybe...glws lol

Did he show you the radar gun that proved you hit 130? I hope you asked for it.. Also ask when the radar gun was last calibrated, this may drop your case depending on when it was, hope that helps

I'm dealing with a similar ticket right now. I was arrested for reckless driving and speed over 100mph last year. I was video taped from an airplane in Sacramento on highway 50. Police report says speeds varied from 70 to 106 over a distance of 10 miles or so.

The ticket went to traffic court first. They offered to drop the speed if I plead guilty to the misdemeanor reckless. I declined regretfully. Now it is in criminal court. Now the offer is plead guilty to misdemeanor reckless, fine, and 30 days work detail.

Yea chp dnt mess around, a sjpd that i talk to said young/rookie cops have to show, if their older on the force they can more so make a decision without getting in trouble.

Fight it by mail first and hope that the officer doesn't respond, which will result in the ticket being dropped. If he does respond, then file a trial de novo (another try but in person this time). This time just plead no contest and hope the judge reduces some of the fees. That's your best chance at this. Don't fight this in person right off the bat, you will be given one chance if so. At least if you fight it by mail first you have two chances.

^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^ and bring your own KY because they sure as shit aren't going to provide you any!

We've all done some stupid shit, some of us got away with it and others got popped. Learn from this.

Back in the day cops wouldn't show up a lot of the time, no joke, I got out of at least 6 or 7 tickets over the years but that isn't the case anymore. My last ticket was 55 in a 40 in a rental car, when the cop showed up I blamed it on the Toyota rental car speedometer being jacked up since it was one that went back under that huge recall a couple years ago but it didn't work.
