N.FORK camp grounds.. off emirgrant gap exit on 80 towards reno.. theres a nice waterfall and is real quiet..

Don Pedro lake it's pretty cool it has a man made lagoon really fun for the kids

Woodward Reservoir, whenever it is not full it can be pretty nice. Check out their website, I think it's near a town called Oakdale in Stanislaus County. My family take a trip down there every year.

+1 for the emigrant gap. That area is so beautiful. The water fall is awesome and you can jump off this rock into the water. I love that spot

lake shasta, don pedro, lake tulloch, all good lakes and camping i have a boat tho so i know the boating spots for camping not just regular campsites except pinecrest is nice
