Awesome car. You have to rev those motors to the moon for some power, but the chassis is excellent and the handling is spectacular. The chassis is one of the most rigid of any convertible in the world, and is significantly stiffer than many poorly made hardtop coupes. 50/50 weight distribution and a naturally aspirated motor that makes almost 120hp per liter at nearly 9,000rpm right off the showroom floor... and the bottom end can handle quite a bit of power

Yeah most people would never think of it as a drag strip warrior... but it's a drivers car. Get some good tires and quality suspension and you'll look forward to every drive.

Not to mention, the stock bottom end can handle decent power... a little boost, and it can produce some respectable numbers. A lot of boost and it can get ugly

I say congrats, those cars are fun to drive and I like how they look. Enjoy

Congrats!
It's a car that I like but can't help but dislike at the same time, if that makes any sense.

I should add that even though it's a cool car, I think you would have had more fun in the long run with a fox vert, for significantly less $. You made the mistake of looking for a clean vert during the late summer, early fall. Best time to buy them is during winter. From what I've seen, prices drop big time for fox verts. But congrats nonetheless.

Y buddy had one a few years back with a rev hard turbo kit on it. Fun little car for sure... If you're not launching at 7k you're doing it wrong. Just sayin....

They are good cars. Way better and reliable than your average 20 year old fox body mustang. I'd drive one.

I'll tell you one thing, I'm sure you will enjoy the interior quality compared to our 79-04 snap, crackle, pop interiors (which drive me insane)

for all the people saying nice things..thanks and for all the people that dont have anything nice to say..why say anything at all?people just need to give this a try..step outside of norm or thier comfort zone.. you might actually like something you never thought you would...

Congrats on a great car. For those not in the know, this car is a fantastic drivers car. I had the opportunity to take a mildly modified example around Motorsports Ranch in Houston. After only a few laps I was convinced this was far better track day ride than any of the other cars I have driven. I was able to outhandle and out brake nearly everything in the BSP class. It's easy on tires and, in this owners experience, extremely durable. In more experienced hands this platform will make a mess of the ego of most Porsche owners.

8.6k ain't bad. Just saw one in import tuner that made 830hp. Now that would be a ride!
