I have to tear my tranny out tomorrow. My clutch is jammed up might be a spring. I'm pretty sure it not good. So it has a spec 3+ right now 26 spline. Should I stay with same one or change. Would like to keep it in the 500 range if not cheaper tight on cash right now I have to daily drive when I can't ride my bike.

Yeah it seems to be a solid clutch. Not sure what happened yet. I don't launch hard so I'll find out tomorrow what happened.

Yea Id be curious to know what failed on it. I launch at 3-4K hard, and havent had any issues, yet. I had a spec stage 2 and that cluth was great, I even ran it for a bit when i put the charger on then went 3+ but the stage 2 held the 600 pretty well too.

Centerforce Dual Friction

I don't think a Centerforce will hold 600 for long, I never had a Spec Stage 3 but I did smoke a Spec Stage 2 on the dyno once. Might be time for a twin disc setup.

mcleod makes a twin disk rated to 1000

I like my spec stage 3 plus. Soft pedal feel, yet holds great at over 600 rwhp.

Only problem about having a twin disc setup, is the stress on tranny with the extra weight of the clutch setup. That is why I debated on selling mine and going back to a single disc setup.

Yeah plus the McLeod is 900 bucks. Might just get a new spec 3+ if this one is bad. My clutch was smoking just sitting at a light and was stalling the motor even with tranny in neutral. Something is wrong.

If you do get a McLeod twin disc, get the one with smaller discs, I have the twin 10.5" discs and I wish I would have got the smaller ones.

DO you plan on drag racing with slicks or just fry tire around town?

McLeod RXT Twin Disc 26 spline is what i have in my car. It's my daily driver and don't have any complaints. It can hold 1000hp, and the pedal effort is soft and easy to engage. It's very smooth and has no chatter. It's one of the best clutches you can buy.

McLeod looks nice just don't know if I can swing 900 right now. I have a promotion tko 600. I we keep the car it Wouk be nice to get it on the track eventually. But that would be rare.

So far found a bad (frozen) throw out bearing. Also I've had an issues with vibration above 70mph looks like the pilot bearing was jammed ( pushed back crooked) still have to take clutch out.
