So I really want a notch and Im scared to drive one back form a long drive just not knowing the car really well, would you drive down to LA for this? Is it worth it? Notch

If you're willing to spend $6500 on this coupe, there should be zero doubt as to wether it could make that drive or not. I bought my vert down in LA and was doing 120 the whole way back lol, no problems or driveability issues. Have him send you a clip of the engine running so you can at least get an idea.

Theirs a blk/blk here in AZ for 6200 150k miles a little ruff but I'd rather invest in that then a coupe.

Why does everyone think Fox bodies are worth their weight in gold now? Just 2 years ago i remember seeing fox's for 2500 in good shape. I would never pay that kind of money for a stock fox.

And I remember 4-5 years ago seeing clean, stock notches, especially blk on blk ones go for $5500-$6500 pretty easily. The market will dictate the price.....always does.
That being said that one in LA in priced a little high. $5k-$5.5 if you REALLY like it and it better easily make the drive back w/o any problems. I'd definitely need a lot more pics and a video or 2. I'm sure you can probably find a better deal/car locally.

I do 400 mile drives with 430 gears in my `97 and 373 gears in my `89 all the time.
24-26mpg depending on which car, going 75mph the whole way on cruise control.
it really just depends if the car has been kept up and is good mechanically, just like any 20 year old car.

Where in LA is it? Seems like a pretty short (weaksauce) description of a car that you'd have to drive ~400 miles to see.
Find out where it is. I'm east of LA by an hour and wouldn't mind taking a look this weekend if it's close.
PS - Anyone driving to LA-area anytime soon be willing to trailer a car down here for me? I'm willing to pay whatever the usual rate
Thanks
Phil

You make more HP for the mods and get better gas mileage than anyone I ever heard Kevin. Something is wacky about you and your calculations or you have very friendly speedo gears
No V8 Mustang I ever owned got better than 21-23mpg on the highway without 2.73/3.08 gears, lol.
