Very nice! They did a great job on the custom intercooler. Hopefully I'll have my KB back on and tuned next month.

Seriously. Is that a typo? How do you add a heavy Dart block and then make over 1500 pounds disappear? Did you mean 2800 pounds with driver?

(The horsepower comment was about the vid in the thread. Powerband drops off real fast!)

greg at one time was 2300.an there is no way that gt is at 1700-1800 with driver hell it only has a 10 point cage in it

There's no way that car weighs 2200lbs with driver. A fully gutted and I mean fully gutted, zero interior, no door glass, aluminum dash with only the required gauges for racing, gutted wiring harness, deleted rear seat and passenger seat, deleted fender liners, lexan all around, light weight racing seat, aluminum clutch, flywheel and driveshaft, stock 302 with aluminum heads, aluminum radiator, deleted fan, deleted head lights, deleted AC and all smog equipment, carbon fiber hood, you get the picture and my car is a notchback, weighed 2600lbs without the driver. Weigh the car at a certified scale before you guess at the "stupid light weight."

Why are you mad^^^^ that what it weighed on a scale with old set up no guessing there more you can rip out of this car . this car will be at AED in a few days to get some tunes done

The car with stock trim ran mid 12s with stock trim then all the gutting and glass peices added and the lexon windows it ran mid 9s with the old 327 stroker motor, do the math they pulled over 1000 lbs out of the car not just bolt on things things that are not needed in a race car. but what I don't understand is how you can you tell me " there's just no way " theres always a way, and to say oh this "person" had this so it can't be possible . Stfu wit that shit unless u personally try to strip one down then don't tell me shit some are just more comfortable running few other things that others don't care about I'm not going to go into details on what other things you can do to cut more weight then the norm [Wink] But it's always possible to do the unthinkable

My boys 82 with a 91 gt body kit weighs 2400 without him in it, it has an aluminum dash, 10 point roll cage, and no interior but a drivers seat! So it can possibly be "stupid light" John (duncan motors) probably has 1 of the lightest coupes that not gutted jus by removing a countless number of bolts and weldin where the bolts once were

I know how we can fix this. 50 Is your buddy from the Sacramento area too? I know of a free public scale. Rounds in increments of 20lbs so it won't be off much.... Just saying.

Not mad bro, just pointing out internet BS when I see it. 2200lbs and you have a cage. Is the cage made out of 1.5" electrical conduit? I've personally done the gutting of my race car. I race against several gutted race cars. Your numbers are off unless you have acid dipped the chassis and are using all carbon fiber body panels. Not one American Iron racecar in the entire country weighs anywhere near what you are claiming and these guys put 10s of thousands of dollars into lightening their cars. Hell, it's difficult to get a Miata under 2200lbs with the driver. Maybe you swiss cheesed the entire chassis, good luck in a crash.

Jae Jae, You gotta tell the guys at Cortex to come check out AIX Outlaw with NASA. I've seen the lap times most of those guys run and they are getting smoked by Andy Sutak and Daryl Anderson. Our group is more of a fair match for them, we have 5 regular guys running right now, we'd love to have more. Our next race is at Buttonwillow Oct 8-9.
