TODAY i turn 18.
but today is no special day.
Today will never be forgotton.
WHY?- because today after getting my hair cut to look nice for my FUCKING birthday, im going home and a cop pulls me over and tows my 50.....

Towed because cop was an asshole.
and pulled over cause my permit was a number (6) thats JUNE last month.

Yeah no bueno riding with an expired TOP but he was a dick. They will usually give you a ticket and only tow it if its over 6 months past. I've had many tickets for that back in the day (2001-2004). Now that I'm older I don't ride unless my tags are current.

I hope you grabbed your paperwork so you can get a new TOP tomorrow and get the stang out. One of my coupes got towed in 2008 for being parked in front my house with expired tags. Cost me about $400 to get it out after about 18 hours.

worst of all its on a 30 day hold and will cost about 1730....
some guy told me that i can just wait and when the pownd sales the car in an auction the i can just go and buy it for way cheaper then that, around 400-700... what should i do? [Frown]

If you got a 30-day hold then there was more to it than an expired TOP from last month.

But yeah you can buy it back as a lien sale, if they sell it. Some already have buyers who come buy stuff before they sell them publically. Title will more than likely end up salvaged too.

Is your license suspended? Doesn't seem like they would tow for an expired permit. Normally if you have a permit your reg fees are up tp date.

That explains it. Suspended license is an automatic 30-day hold.

No ls = 30 day hold and only after you get your lic.and reg and insurance up to date will they allow you to grab your car back even at auction I think [Cool]

no sympathy for you.. You were driving with and suspended L and expected them to act nice to you since it was our b-day.

Your own fault and the cops were just doing their job.. It would have looked real bad if they let you go and you got into an accident..

Damn! and you live right by me please don't crash into anyone I know! 18 today no license and the cop was an asshole lol please don't continue with that way of thinking and end up in prison! Take today as a wake up call you're an adult now,get a license.
