I think it will be an 9 or 10th round KO. Ortiz comes forward at all times with out a good defense. He is tailor made for a Mayweather KO. It's almost like a another Ricky Hatton.

+1...I just believe with the 1.5 yr layoff he would want to get in rounds...hell of a tune up fight...is setup nice for a may showdown with manny if he ever decides to take the test...this fight happened because ortiz is taking the test...

Which is pretty cool because Berto started making lots of claims of steroid use from Ortiz. I want to see if Ortiz puts 20lbs over night like on his last fight.

I really think this drug testing (type) is good for the sport.

I understand steroids make u stronger and all that but does it really help u with your hand eye coordination?(as in being able to hit someone easier as they move cause your on roids?) and also how much do steroids really help u strength wise if u have to cut weight for the fight?

Steriods helps you get stronger by allowing ur body to recover faster and there are some that help with getting more oxygen to your body...also really helps with overall stamina...

Steroids is an out to date term when in comes to sport. Its actually performance enhancing drugs (PED). If you ever look into bodybuilding they know how to shred crazy amounts of weight before competition with the use of PEDs. This allows a natural 180lbs guy fight in 147 or 154. So it can help you with weight. Also not all PEDs bulk you up with strength gains.

Not at all.

Like everyone else said, it provides other advantages. Basically adding stamina, reducing recovery time, weight fluctuations etc.

But, just because you are on PEDs doesn't mean that all of a sudden you are the greatest boxer in the world. That still takes talent, training, etc. The PEDs just enhance that process which allows you to maximize your talent.

People who take/took PEDs are still GOOD if not GREAT athletes. It just gives them an unfair edge over people who don't take them.

I think this is actually going to be a good fight. Ortiz dominated berto and showed lots of heart and courage he lacked earlier in hia career. This might be a warm to pacman but i think he shoulda picked an easier opponent because this wont be an easy fight.

It won't be easy because of the layoff...style wise it will be easy because Ortiz has bad defense...if berto could counter ortiz, Mayweather will have a field day...I just don't think Ortiz has enough experience to make in fight adjustments when Mayweather takes away his weapon of choice on fight night...I can't believe hbo gave Mayweather 40 million guaranteed...

U are right I dont fallow boxing b/c its all about money not so much boxing. People love to see gayweather fight and many like me would love to see him get his ass handle. But the reality is when u have a contender like manny that has a lot of money and wants to fight gayweather won't happen.now ortiz in the other hand can beat gayweather but since a shit load of money is involve he is just going to take it easy on him. People say Mayweather is ducking Manny and other people say Manny is ducking Mayweather who really knows the truth. For all we know these are just all rumors. This is becoming like politics you have to choose one side and talking shit about the other side. Please name me one legit contender that Manny has fought.? Ortiz is by far a more legit contender then ANY fighter Manny has fought.

Exactly boxing is all about money now and thats the same reason why that fight wont happen. You have two fighter who are bringing money to boxing and if they fight eachother most likely thier will be only one fighter bringing that much amount of money. You just said you dont watch fighting but your saying Ortiz can beat Mayweather.? please explaing cause i disagree with you. I like Ortiz cause he has the pontential to be a great fighter, But his style of boxing fits Mayweather's defense. Ortiz likes to move forward cause he has a lot of power to were Mayweather likes to block and punch.
