I don't get why you guys think its the cops fault here (not saying anyone's wrong here) but there's a bunch of people dancing in a historic site or kissing (guy in the black tee was saying). The cop told them to stop dancing and in my guess was because people are probably trying to take pictures and see the site not them dancing and acting like fools. The cop most likely got a complaint and went and told them to stop and they kept going so they were put under arrest. This is just my opinion.

I get what you're saying, but what right do they have to stop those people from dancing? Regardless if there were complaints, what law was being broken?

They where doing their job. Flash dancing is the gayest form of dancing ever. Anyone dumb enough to do that crap at a national monument to prove a point is a retard.

evidently, they were protesting a recent court ruling that expressive dancing would be considered the same as picketing, marching, and making speeches...all of which are banned in certain national memorials, including the jefferson memorial.

the arrests could of been handled better...

Well the ticket would be that they are disturbing the peace if people are complaining about it. It just seem like these people were being jack asses and trying to piss the cop off after the cop came and told them to stop dancing. Also when a police officer specially a park officer tells you to leave or to stop doing something that he might be getting complaints about he can arrest you or detain you. Like I said earlier everyone has there opinion and I respect everyone's opinion its just people bash on cops way to fast. Police are hard working good people don't get me wrong I know there's some fucked up ones and I've been messed with numerous times but its because of what they have to deal with on a daily basis.
