What would be your first mods on a completely stock foxbody 5.0?(has flows) I got a 1988 gt, manuel, that just hit 64,000 miles. My last and first car was a little 4 banger that was hit by a drunk lady while it was parked. So i got cashed out and got the fifty. Interior is imaculant. Runs great.

it is nice. when i first saw the interior i was like Because pretty much every other 5.0 i went and looked at the interior was pretty crap. And i was looking for MONTHS before i found the one i have now. Which i got from an old man who was the original owner in the middle of nowhere.

Not at all. I drove to Thunder Hill raceway up in Willows from the East Bay and only used a 1/2 tank at 2400Rpm doing 65mph.

Alright that's definitely going to be the first mod then. I was talking to this old school mechanic about them and he was the one who told me it wasn't a good idea. But after hearing from multiple people sounds like a good idea.

My first planned mods are cold air, throttle body, pulleys, and mass air.

you won't notice a seat of the pants difference from any of those mods, other than maybe your headlights going dim and your blinker going 3x as slow when the lights are on at night!

You have to lay down your first stipes first. Show us your stipes, take a pic of it and post it. Then we'll tell you what your first mods should be.

I know those mods definitely made an improvement in my 07gt...
Posted by 04 S281 (Member # 9229) on

Subframe connectors, torque box reenforcement plates, rear lower control arms, then some wider rims and decent tires.
