I am thinking of having Turbo50, aka Dan in Discovery Bay, do some engine work for me. He said it was OK to post a request for references here and that there were people here who would vouch for him. Any info? Thanks. Bob

Dans the man! Your lucky for him to even have time for a build he usually has a line of customers waiting for him to do work for them big ups to dan for taking on work injured !

dan is fucking cool! he sold me a set of edelbrock heads straight out the machine shop with a ton of work put into them for a really good price. we bullshitted for a while the guy knows cars hes got my vote

never met him, but a lot of people can tell you the kind of work he does & hes a stand up guy..... hope his recovery is going well

Dan is one cool cat that's built a few peoples engines including mine and a friend at work. If anybody needs there engine rebuilt I tell them to go see Dan.

My first interaction with Dan is when he took possession of my modular coupe and my twin turbo kit. I had spend lots of money on those items, so you can imagine I was a little weary at first because didn't know him other than that he posted on the board. However, as time progressed I got to know him and consider him a good friend I can tell you without a doubt that he's a man of his word and does not bullshit. He will tell you how it see, whether you like or not.

The day I hit the lotto :-), he would be the only other guy that I would trust to open up a shop with. The other guy that I trust already left the state, so I would have to bring his ass back..

I sold some headers to Dan a couple years ago....seems like a real cool knowledgeable dude. I plan on hitting him up to do some work on a 351 when i move back to cali this summer.

Dan is a great guy, he is up front about anything he sells, and with my experience I drove 2 plus hours not knowing who he was or what to expect, when I got there he had my stuff ready to load with a forklift and he even threw in some things he didnt need that I needed, and I would have spent an extra 80 dollars on easily. I recommend him 100%!

I don't know, judging by all the responses, this Turbo50 guy sounds kinda shady.

I'm a little bummed I didn't contact him before sending my shortblock out to be built. I thought he was taking some time off after his accident. Well, next time.
