I'm looking to leave my job, been there 7 years and the new owners has taken over, not liking the way they're run the place now. PM me if you have any leads to one, hoping to work for a Ford Dealer, but we'll see. Thanks!

good luck man. I just got laid off from Livermore Ford and I'm seeing how much the market sucks.

Sorry to hear that man. I'd really rather not start looking for a job and keep the one I have, but with no benefits-health insurance and all that after having it for 7 years? that's absurd.

I really feel sorry for my manager and the other guys I work with too, they've been here at least 25+years, and they're on the same boat as I am.

I wouldn't look for a new job in this economy. You have been there 7 years so if lay-offs start your probably not the first one on the list. In a new job you will be first. Try to put up with your job and make the best of it, hey bro just be happy that your working in this economy!

Just a friendly advise, good luck!

Yes, I've been thankful that I still have a job, but to be quite honest, what kills it is not having the health insurance, most people, including me need that due to a health issue I have. Thanks for the very legit advise though, man [Smile]

I actually have. Although I am not quite knowledgeable with diesel engines, I know a bit, definitely worth a shot applying though.

i think even if u dont have experience in that specifically ull most likely still go through the apprenticeship program unless you show u r knowledgeable enough to pass the tests.

its a short sacrifice in terms of pay cut but from what i hear from friends once u get passed the program ull have pretty decent pay and great benefits
