1993 SC Supercharged

You can usually find them for up to $5,000 cheaper from members of the SCOA or at auction... or as cheap as $5,000 - $9,000 for a driver with miles (100k+)

1990 SC (first year of the SC, not available with supercharger)

i think the OP is referrign to just the SC wheels, not the entire car [Big Grin] I'd say about $1000 in good condition...maybe less since they're 4-lug [Confused]

ahh... i see

Which "SC" wheels are you referring to? From 1990-93 there were:
-American Racing DP-5's (1989 SSC, 1990-1991 SC)
-Stern 3-piece wheels (1993 SA-10, 1993 SC)
-Stern 1-piece (a few 92-93 Saleen's)
-Speedline's (1993 Saleen's, some 4-lugs but rare)
-Logic Wheels (1993 Saleen catalog wheel, very rare)

Real Saleen/DP-5's are all 16x8 and have staggered offset for front and rear. Some aftermarket available DP-5's, also called AR-5's, were 16x7. Pretty common compared to some of the others.

Stern 3-piece's were 17x8/17x9 staggered, and as far as i know the REAL 3-piece Stern's were all 5-lug, and had a flat lip, where as some Stern's found on eBay have a rolled lip. There ARE 4-lug Stern's, but Saleen never imported any 4-lugs. Only about 24 sets were imported for Saleen.

Stern 1-piece were also 17x8/17x9 staggered, and i honestly don't know if they were available in 4-lug or not. Only about 50 sets were imported for Saleen.

Speedline's were 17x7.5/17x8.5 staggered and were much more common than the Stern's. Only 5-lug came on Saleen cars, but Saleen sold a 4-lug version for catalog sales.

Very little info on Saleen/Logic wheels. Very rare.

[/IMG] -Speedline's (1993 Saleen's, some 4-lugs but rare) - lol sorry guys i ment these 93 saleen speedlines but 4lug..how can i tell if their real says "made in italy" on the back side of the spoke i paid 400 they need tires and paint no rash on nun..how much are they worth in this condition? ima polish the lip or the whole rim and throw sum new bf goodrich 255s after that idk wut to ask

There should be "SALEEN by SpeedLine" printed on the front of one of the spokes. MOST Speedline's had this detail, but not 100%... and if the rim was refinished at all the marking comes off quite easily. The "made in italy" was on all Speedline's including the ones imported for Saleen.

 -

The offered aftermarket 4-lug version by Saleen were only available through the catalog when Saleen was in Long Beach. The 4-lug version was made in standard Mustang offset, and were only available 17 x 7.5. There is no way to verify the actual number of 4 lug versions sold but production has been estimated at around 500 sets.

If you got a set of 4 for $400, that's a steal. Odds are they're true Speedline's, but probably not the ones imported by Saleen. With the original markings on the front missing, there really is no way to be 100% sure. EDIT: PRICING STATED IS FOR 5-LUG. the 5-lug Speedline's in great condition with the "SALEEN" lettering intact can sell for close to $2,000, and a slightly "seasoned" set with curb rash or refinished/missing "SALEEN" lettering can still go for $800 without tires. The 4-lug's are a little harder sell to owners of true Saleen's since the majority of the later fox body Saleen's were 5-lug. Someone building a replica that isn't doing a 5-lug conversion would be your target.

the Wheel Replica Speedline's are made in Texas i think, so the "Made in Italy" on the back can at least be a testament to them being true Speedline's...

Stern manufactured wheels of varying offsets and lug patterns for a great many cars. The one's imported for use on Saleen Mustang's were either 17x8 with a 24mm offset for the front or 17x9 with a 39mm offset for the rear.

the one's pictured and linked in the craigslist add are simply Stern wheels. Not "Saleen" imported Stern's... they're 17x8.5 with a 40mm offset.

I had 4 lug 3piece HRE/Stern on my coupe a few years ago before the CCW's. I got them for a steal around $200. Sold them a while back for about $1300 with tires in OK condition. Please keep in mind that mine were 3 piece, probably 1 of 1 made in 4lug.
