Look around that board, there are a lot of clean e34's around. I've fallen in love with these things, I just picked up a 95 540 6 speed car a few days ago I'm going to start working on. I already had two 540's but they were both auto's, the manual trans is a whole new animal for sure!!

A lot of us have moved on past the whole Ford is the only thing to drive mentality. There are a lot of great cars out there and I'm having fun. I'll have another Mustang someday but when I can really afford to build it the way I want and I want to see how the whole smog situation goes too. I don't get hassled at all in my Bimmmers for anything so for now its great.

bimmers are nice, but expensive to maintain. i had an 04 545i, and to change the waterpump cost me 1000 bucks! luckily i had maintenance protection to cover 800 of it. i got that fixed and traded it for an american car....ahem, a chevy lol

Thanks! [patriot] I know they can be expensive to maintain but I do all my own work and there are tons of sources for parts. That black car just turned 200K, almost everything is original, the car doesn't burn oil or leak anything and runs perfect. Its got a DOHC 4.0L V8 with just under 300hp, its quick and very fun to drive. The 6 speed car is even more fun, when I've got it done I'll bring it out to a meet and play a bit with some people.

Bimmers are my 2nd favorite car next to my mustangs! I've owned a couple older 3 series back in the day (93 318is and 92 325is) and my parents have always loved bimmers...they currently have a 95 525i and my sisters old 88 528e. I've been considering restoring the 528 and dropping it on some bbs wheels but the car is kind of beat up and it may not be worth it.

Looking at that white one in the link makes me want to get a 95 5 series! Maybe I'll start looking into getting a 540 for a DD. [Big Grin] although my wife has been bugging me to sell the faleen to free up space and cash for an 04+ 5 series but I'm not sure if I want to do that right now [Embarrassed]

I used to own a e30 325is when i was in highschool/college. Had it slammed on bilsteins and loved it until the headgasket popped.

Picked up my current m5 about a year ago and it's been an absolute animal. I drive it to work everyday and love it.
