 - Street Racing Goes Bad - Crash

Man I hope there were no kids in that car. You got to be a god damn fool to be racing in the middle of traffic & that time of day, come on. Street racing is just not worth the risk. Just imagine being locked up for life over somebody dying during a race? Take it to the track!

yah the glare that sun was causing wasnt helping them either, not a good time or place to race.

Is there ever a good time or place to street race? Keep that on the track.

yah i feal you on the keep it on the track and not the street just sayin that was a dumb move to race in the first place with traffic and bad vision which caused the crash just my opinion.

I'm not justifying what those two guys did because I think street racing is stupid. But what the hell was the other car doing in the middle of the road?

^^ yea im with you on that what was that car doing in the middle of the road if that car wasn't there that wouldn't have happened but still keep it on the track

That dumbshit should have looked before pulling out. I don't think they were going all that fast either. Had they been doing well over a hundred that camaro would have been a lego set. I don't have a track within an hour of me so I'll keep it on the street thank you very much. [Razz]

Speaking of tracks, we need one back in the Bay!! If only we could use the runway at Alameda Naval base or something.. that place has plenty of room and its doing nothing else but rotting away

You can rent it for 5,000. Top speed is 50 MPH though.

But thats bullshit, mythbusters hit 110 MPH on it doing their shit.

Yea that is some bs. Everyone is saying how they want to stop street racing, but the problem is that they're not doing anything about it. I think that there should be an airstrip open maybe 2 times a week, charge people $10 or maybe even $20 to race and make a profit off of it to pay for workers or repairs to the facility that we could possibly use. I would pay to do that. I know it wont solve all of the street racing but it would definitely solve a lot of it.

Problem with the track is that it is so structured that its boring.Take down the tree, timers and clocks.Stay open later. Also so many "track" guys act stuck up.

Yea I agree with that. I also think its more of an adrinaline rush on the street. But I'd rather save my license than lose it as well as my car.

And as for the stuck up racers at the track, I just try to look past them. I dont really sweat it.

I actually wished we had an area that we can do it just like the street races. Have a flagger and not a tree. Just go out, have fun, and just basically enjoy ourselves. I think it would be a good thing to have in our community.

I tried to do something like this at a local airfield but couldnt get enough support.Insurance is the biggest hurdle. Not to mention lighting and policeing and a whole bunch of other technicalities.

My friend tried doing something like that as well and got the same result, no support. Anything would be nice.. even if it weren't at night, it would still be 1,000,000 times better to race without having to look in your rearview mirrors.. unless its the car you're racing of course [Wink]
