So I was ordering a bunch of parts for the cobra.
Then I got to thinking, Should I just clean it up, sell it as is stock and then buy a cheaper GT or LX and mod that?
I've always wanted a cobra, but all I want to do is dump a bunch of money into it.
I don't personally care about "hacking" a svo or cobra but I think it might be beneficial to sell it and buy a lx or gt for half the price and then build it.
It's not a mint cobra, its more of a driver. Its got 150k, but it is bone stock except for flowmasters, and the tri ax I installed.
whats Cafords opinion?

Do it, you still got like 10 years until its considered a classic and it "might" be worth something over 10K then

I'd say go for it. Its a 93 Cobra, nice car but not super rare or expensive really so modding it isn't a huge deal. The fact it has 150K just locks in the fact you should mod the shit out of it and have fun. If it was a very low mileage car in perfect shape I'd say maybe try and sell it but at this point it wouldn't be worth it. [patriot]

depends on what mods your talking about. if your looking to do just bolts ons id say keep it. because the motor already has better heads etc. and it does have a better then standard t-5. but if you plan on ripping out the motor and tranny anyways sell the car and take the difference of a cobra vs gt/lx and put it towards your motor and tranny swap. like i said if your just going to put pulleys, full exhaust,a cold air intake or something then keep it you already got gt40 heads , 1.7rr and a better tranny. put some 3.73 in it and go.

just keep your stock parts and swap them back on if you ever decide to sell the car. it iwll be a classic, but we're talking about another 15-20yrs before it's really worth big money. by that time a lot real '93 cobras will gone.

Modd the piss out of it make it a sick ass cobra be diff than everyone else.. Rather than keepin it a stock car and just slappin a blower on it.. It will hold more value as a 93 cobra thats tastefully modded. Rather than a lx or gt that everyone else and there mom has.... Have a sick ass modded in your own way cobra and call it a day.. But thats just my opinion... I have a cobra myself and im going all out on my build and personally i think it will still hold its value plus some when im done with it.. Ya people will hate cause your modding a 93 cobra and not keeping it a rats nest and keeping it boring and stock. .... Mod it make your own love it and fuck what anyone else thinks hahahaha! !!!!!!!!!! Cobra life baby live it fast haha good luck with your dicision making have a good one

Lol yeah may as well keep it I go through too many cars as it is now. I put the stock wheels back on today. I gotta move the cobra emblems down when it warms up. The guy had the car painted and they put the emblems on way too high it looks dumb. But here's a pic I took today with the stocks back on. Needs to be washed but it's too cold for that. -

Got a c&l mass air meter today and a Mac intake. I know the chrome intakes are kinda cheesy but it was a package deal so I figured why not. O/r h next and gears are next

Update: I installed the intake and yanked it right off, tacky looking chrome next to te stock engine bay. Waste of money. I think I'm just going to get a panel filter and call it good

100% mod it, especially with 150K.

These cars are to be enjoyed, so enjoy them!
