Although DLP is a dying technology I couldn't pass up a smoking deal on a 60" Mitsubishi 3D TV. By next week I'll be playing GT5 in all its 3D glory! I'm excited! Gotta throw a big thanks out to dag302 for letting me know about this deal. [patriot]

Yeah, it was $600 but they sold out fast. There were like 5 or 6 places selling them but all were gone within no time. If I see another I'll post it up.
I have a 60" Sony already so I'm set up for a tv this size but I need to find a stand for this one because I'm selling the other with the old tv.

Shit, if your going all out why not get the 82"? [Big Grin] The price difference was huge just stepping up to a 65, anything beyond that would have really been more than I have to spend. For $600 I couldn't pass it up but can't afford to dump $1100 on a TV right now.

I was visiting my parents yesterday and finally got to put in some time playing GT5 and Black Ops in 3d on their 65" Panasonic.

While the 3d was cool for sure, it did not strike me as cool enough to spend an additional 700 bucks over the cost of the non-3d Plasma I want.

Your feelings may vary of course, but either way you got a damn good deal on a HUGE TV!

Nope, the 3d does not bother me at all. I have heard and read that it does effect some people quite a bit.

I picked it up for a steal of $900 with a surround sound from a member here whos father passed away. He was down for an estate sale to clear his fathers belongings out. The TV was 12 months old with receipts, the original box (HUGE) etc! I FUCKING LOVE IT!!! Got the H/D hooked up, picked up a great receiver and have it all figured out now!

Is this a flat screen (hang on wall) or projection?

Always have a spare lamp. My first lamp blew while I had guests and I didn't have a replacement. Very awkward

It's a projection, your not going to touch a brand new 60" lcd our plasma for what I paid.
I just did the bulb in my Sony a couple months ago, it didn't go out all the way so I lucked out. I got over 4 years out of that original bulb but I took it out every couple months and cleaned the screen that covers the cooling holes on each end of it. The glass is actually open on both sides to allow air to flow across the element, the screens plug up with dust over time, overheat the bulb and kills it. I bring in my air hose and blow out all my electronics.

A computer UPS is also a good idea. If the power goes out, the fan can't continue to cool the lamp like it does when you turn off the tv
