I'm looking to take my girl out for her 30th b-day in a few weeks and I'm looking for your suggestions on where to take her.

I want a restaurant in S.F. with a good view of the city and of course good food. I believe I've seen some in movies where they're on the top floors of a building or something.

Help me out,
Thanks in advance.

is the Equinox still down there, the restaurant that rotates/spins for you to see almost everything? or the cliffhouse with a sunset view, weather pending, lol

Gary Danko if you want to woo the wife. 5 star and world renowned.

French Laundry if you want more of a hip atmosphere with good food and drinks.

For steak I prefer Harris over Mortons and Ruth's Chris. Ruth's Chris cooks their steaks with tons of butter but that is not necessary a bad thing. It's just not my taste. Mortons is pretty good but I think their cut is not as good as Ruth's Chris.

Now I'm hungry. Thanks.

Thanks fellas for the suggestions. I think I'll go with Slanted Door, she loves vietnamese food so I think this will be the perfect place.

Thanks again guys.

+1 I go there at least once a year. The view might not be the best, but the food is great. [patriot]
