I know that the law used to be that vehicles that were 4 model years old or newer were exempt from smog testing. I just read an article in the latest 5.0 Mustang that said that the CA law is 6 years. Is that correct? Has it changed in the last year or two?

It's six years. I'm pretty sure that's been that way for at least five or so years now. I bought my '03 mach1 in 2004 and just had to smog it for the first time last year.

That would be great news. I wouldn't have to smog my GXP until 2014.
I know that it had to change within the last 2 or maybe 3 years though. [ October 18, 2010, 11:19 PM: Message edited by: iceman302 ]
