1v1 and no fouls I'd have to go with Lebron. Lebron is physically unreal. Kobe's lakers vs Lebron's Cavs/Heat (not that he's the sole leader of the team)I'd have to go with Kobe. Jordan owns them both. Jordan's game during both 3peat runs where insane. The only other player to dominate like that in recent years was probably Shaq in his 01 season.

Sorry I created the other post, without actually looking at the general topics. I believe we both got the topic from espn. I believe in a 1v1 game Lebron would win hands down. Lebron is 25 while Kobe is 30 something. Artest carried the lakers in game 7 of the finals, Kobe missed 2 game winning shots in the p[layoffs, one was put back in by Gasol and the other was put back in by Artest. Lebron is way to strong and has all the skills anyone can ask for. Lebron would power his way to buckets. Plus Kobe is past his prime

im the biggest laker fan on this site, and in a 1 on 1 lebron would win...lebron is taller, hevier, stronger, faster and at this age it wont be close...

I dont know its a toss up. I do not like either player. But I would put money on Kobe. Lebron is the best athlete in the game but has a very low bball IQ. Kobe on the other hand has one of the highest IQs. And even in one on one that comes into play. I watch Lebron on D and his foot placement is almost always wrong, Kobe would exploit this. Lebron is not particularly strong with his left hand. Kobe would exploit that. Kobes step back is lethal and I would consider him a pure shooter. He would kill Lebron if his jumper is falling. Kobe is not a slouch on D either. He could do enough to make Lebron make mistakes. Lebron IMO, gets by on pure athleticism. PURE. Which will work for a while. But he needs to stop doing things like leaving his feet to make passes.

Lebron is one of the best passers in the game, and if they played one on one lebron would run by him everytime

Are you kidding me? lol.... Homie is the worst. Not because of turnovers as much as making bad decisions of who and when to pass to them. And he almost always leaves his feet to make a pass. That my friend is the number 1 no-no in basketball. And do not forget Kobe is not in his prime but he is definitely not in his darker years yet either. Kobe is too smart for LBJ.

Kobe knows how to win that's how. All the stats in the world don't mean squat, if your IQ is low and you don't win. Kobe is efficient as well.

Kings are a farm team. Tyreke wont get his props until he is long gone from there.

Maybe so, but his shot is improved this year and nobody has been able to stop his drives. If you know anything about basketball N8, the one hole in his game last year was a shaky jump shot which is typical for rookies. ALA Jason Kidd

Here is what Bird thinks of Lebron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaSfliFOfuo
Don't forget Phil Jackson had to teach and force Kobe into being a team player, and to me that is not a hig Basketball I.Q. if you don't know how to pass. You can not compare what Kobe has done with a far superior team and coach to what Lebron did with a franchise that had the number 1 pick 6 years ago to a team that has had the best record for the past 2 years.
The difference between Kobe and Lebron in the payoffs is, you can triple team Lebron and no-one else will step up to make points. If you double team Kobe, the Lakers have the other players to make you pay.
If you watch Kobe now a days, he is scared to go to the hole, he has become a jump shooter, mainly because his speed has left him behind

Kobes IQ is more or less twice Lebrons, plain and simple. And the difference between the 2 in the playoffs is Kobe makes players better. Lebron does not. No doubt that Lebron can score in a prolific fashion, more so than Kobe. But no doubt in my mind as a teammate or a coach I would choose Kobe to have the ball with the game on thel line. And not necessarily to take the last shot, but decide to pass or shoot.
As for one on one, Kobes game is just more complete at this time. But Lebron physically is superior to Kobe I agree there.

Were talking about the same kobe who missed the playoffs one year before he cryed about a trade and then the lakers had to go get everybody, lakers have the highest payroll in the league. take kobe off the lakers and there a playoff team still, take lebron off the cavs and there going to be one of the worst teams in the league

Being a playoff team and a title contender is 2 different things. Take Kobe off the Lakers and they are no longer favored to win the title. What team wants to just play to make the playoffs?
