Lee, not sure if I ever asked you...

What do you attribute to the crash and are you taking any additional precautions this time around?

Luke,

I first changed my Life Insurance Policy to cover me if I die at the track, second, I will not run stock radiator hoses again.

So it was coolant over the rear tires huh? Gosh, scary stuff in a 9sec car. I have seen too many cars loose control at the track due to coolant in the past several years.

I have seen many race cars with boost running stock hoses and cringe. I wont even consider it on my 91 for the reason you listed. A race radiator cap has nothing to do with it.

30LBS CAP ON STOCK SYSTEM WOULD CUASE PROBLEMS

Looks good!
If you don't mind, who did the work?

Old Friend of mine, he works out of Brentwood, did it on the side for me for $800, I think I got a deal. He pulled the front end, cut the aprons and the upper & lower radiator supports out and put used ones in I had, cut out the sway bar brackets out, plus painted part of the engine compartment and did some fiberglass work to the hood. The paint doesnt match but who cares its a race car. I will paint the front clip after I am done cutting it up to fit all the tubing and the intercooler.

bullshit I have run race caps on the street and at the track many times never had a problem. just because a cap will hold 30 doesnt mean thats what it will go up to. have you ever done it or just read about it ?

WHO DO THINK HELPS WITH THIS CAR THE CAP WAS NOT VENTING IN TO THE COOLANT BOTTLE SO WHEN THE PERSURE GOT TO HIGH THE NEXT BEST THING TO VENT IS AT STOCK LOWER HOSE
