I picked up a 1986 Ford Mustang GT last Monday. After one week of owning it, I've come to realize how shady people can be. Don't get me wrong I love my new ride but since I bought it 6 days ago, I've had to replace the starter, fuel filter, repack the front wheel bearings, by the heater core because it had a bad leak. After putting in on the rack at my workplace I also found leaking wheel cylinders and bad leaking power steering pump. Worst of all I got pulled over last night by CHP. They told me the tags on my plates were not from this car, my response was I just bought the car and luckily they didn't impound my car. But now I gotta deal with 2 years registration because the asshole who sold me the car failed to tell me this!! Anyways, poor me but this Mustang needs a lot of attention and I will give it my sweat and labor!

$1500 is good but not sure what the back due fees came out to.in the future call dmv and give them the plate number and they will tell you regs due before buying the car.good luck

Shoot ur lucky that it wasn't stolen. And come on what you expect for $1500 and a 86 Mustang. I think we can all agree that you are a very lucky guy. I have to say that your 4 eye looks awesome. Just keep that TLC up and it will be running back up in no time.

Thank for the heads up. I smogged it today and it failed apparently my timing was up 20 degrees. Easy fix but again I wish people were more honest instead of trying to come up on a quick buck!
