I originally stated that I would NOT give into the stupid idea of having an IPAD. Well, I gave in! I kept going to Best Buy to mess with it and I finally convinced myself to purchase one. I do not regret it either. This thing really makes the internet that much better IMO.

I don't really see what's so cool about them. We have one at work now to mess with/support. Meh. Overpriced IMO.

It's an awesome luxury to have. The IPS screen is nothing short of awesome and the touch screen is very accurate. But as far as practicality it's a bit useless. I find the best situation to have an ipad is on the couch surfing while watching tv or for a long flight. Every other situation I have been in (work, coffee shop, library, conference, car ride, etc) would be best suited for a portable media player, laptop, or e-book reader.

I agree 100%

This was purchased as a luxury for what exactly you mentioned- surfing the web on the couch and for those long plane rides [Wink]
I can't wait to start downloading apps for this. Comcast (who I work for) has one out...

We have 2 here at the office for development purposes. The novelty of it wore off rather quick. It just sits now.

I'm looking forward to it also. I watched a movie on the ipad on a plane ride and it was the best entertainment experience by far. I can't count how many hours I spent playing plants vs zombies.
