I am sure Jeff will chime in, but he is a die hard Supra guy.

The Mustang deal started with some shit talking over a grudge match between him with his old blue Supra, and the original owner of the GT who started to build the car with a 2JZ. Basically, Jeff bought the GT from the guy to beat him with his own car after the idea fell thru. To this day, the grudge match has not happened....but the shit talking still goes on.

Yeah +1 for the 2j swap.. Theres always been (atleast round these parts) drama between the Mk3 guys and foxbodys. I never talk shit, and always give props to the guys I meet, but they never give in return. So I end up blowing there doors.. untill about 130.. then they pull.

LOL, yeah I was already running this motor in my 92 Supra. Was sponsoring another guy that was gonna put a 2J in his Mustang but the deal fell through because of various reasons. Bottom line the Supra did well for what it was, 9.1 at 162mph but the chassis just did not work well enough to run the LT5 class in WCHRA as you have to run stock suspension in that class. So I decided to step up to a better working chassis and the Mustang has proven itself over the years plus some modifications had been done prior to me buying the car. Also wanted a platform that we could step up with later if we chose to and just felt this was the best option. So far it is working good and improvements are being made each time we take the car out. As far as the motor, how many motors out there can your throw over 1000hp at with a stock block, crank and head that will survive? LOL, platform works well for us and I know the setup very well plus I have a great bunch of people that support me and my racing enthusiasm. Dave's Engine and Machine, Enterprise Motorsports, Bowman Motorsports, John Reed Racing, Titan Motorsports and Black Sheep Racing. These guys rock and are top notch companies I deal with. Honest, Fair, and Priced Competively!
