How does a car like that ever get in that condition???...Do you think we'll ever see a ZR1 Corvette, ZO6/'05+ GT500 for that matter, in 40 years in that condition?...

wow its at 50,000 and reserve still not met

If you do a search any restored GT500 is going for $135k-$175k. If someone snags this for $50k, put another $50K in it, and sell it for $125 then you've made yourself a quick $25k.

Dunno if that will happen but I am sure that is what people are thinking.

My guess is that people back in the 60's and 70's didn't think that these cars would be worth as they do now, therefore most didn't really bother on preserving them....

Yup, and I doubt that we'll see any new Vettes or Shelby's in that condition because people know that they'll be worth a nice chunk of change in the next 40-50 years.

Oh not to mention that the new Shelby's are in the 40-50k range compared to a '67-'69 Shelby that sold for under 10k when they came out?

Didn't hit reserve at 59k lol. It's been relisted. I'm pretty sure you could find one that you could actually drive for 70k.

A clone yes, a real GT500, no way. I was blown away when that thing was bid up to almost 18K, to see it go just under $60K was insane.
