I have a Nikon D300s Gripped (for 8FPS), and most of the shots above were with my Nikkor 70-200 VRII and my Sigma 150-500 DG OS.
The close up shots were a Nikkor 17-55 DG EX.
I also will be uploading the shots I took with my Canon 7D and L Series glass setup as well

Those are 'hands down' the best pics i have ever seen! Thanks a lot for sharing them with us.
Trans Am was always my favorite races to go to but have enjoyed a few ALMS races in recent years.

Seriously resize or ban!
A lot of those shots came out killer. A lot of those shots came out way overexposed though as well. You'll see the highlights are blown out on the tops of lots of cars. Are you using any type of polarizer or neutral density?
Work on the pan with the tripod to get rid of any camera shake. Looking good though!

Damn you know now that I am looking at them on my work monitor they are lookin overexposed. Ill have to re-do the pics at home again because when I was editing them I added a little bit of exposure to everyone.
Fack I gotta calibrate my monitor at home.

I'm getting ready to buy a square filter setup so I can have better control over my landscape photography. Getting a Cokins P Filter Holder setup, attachments for my lenses and Singh-Ray ND hard stop and soft stop filters.

Nice! I havent gotten into the filters yet. I might have needed one for the races though as I was shooting in MidDay sun. Was tough to get a handle on the exposure (especially with lots of tiny clouds screwing with the lighting.
I was shooting between 1/160 to 1/325th depending, and I was still running out of f/Stop to a point. Was a good experience though. I am going to re-edit the pics and take out some of the exposure that I added since my work monitor is showing them a bit more accuratly.
Oh ya just ordered a Spider3elite
