there isnt another side. The cops lied from the gate. And without the video tape would have rode that lie until the wheels fell off. And even if the guy was verbally combatitive for the 3 seconds before the beating still unequal and excessive use of force. I say throw them bastards in prison, in general population and let Darwinism take course. And I hope they are found guilty then found liable in a civil suit and get every damn thing taken from them. No excuse what so ever for that. None.

That's what I was thinking too. Normally, that should not lead to violence, but you can lose cafords street cred by letting someone talk about your momma and not hit them with a baton a few times.

yep, even with the cops bogus offical report about what happened and an actual video saying other wise, you will still have somebody tring to sqeeze in excuses for there actions.

What do you mean by this? [Confused] seeing as there is no audio we can all speculate what was said. If the man was drunk and didn't comply with the officers, then they should have every right to take him down. ( what if the horses were spooked and trampled the guy?)

But, it doesn't look good that the officers statements conflict with this video.

At this point I'd say both parties are at fault. Untill more info is brought out.

Well, the cops were in riot gear, so I'm guessing they were ready for a fight. Looks like they jumped the gun and beat his ass for no reason. He looked like he was happy and skipping around because his team won. He probably had a heat on and looked up and saw a horse and was thinking WTF? Than bam, ass kicking.

Cops shouldn't have lied.
