For all the drinkers out there...who has tried Kirkland brand Vodka from Costco??? I've heard that its JUST LIKE Grey Goose. Some people say that IT IS Grey Goose bottled in a Kirkland bottle...has anyone had it before?
The reason I ask is because I'm going to Vegas this weekend and I'm bringng out some bottles for pre-partying, but dont want to fork out $60+ for the costco sized Grey Goose..the Kirkland vodka is the same size for half the price!
Let me know

You wont care after the first couples shots, so I would say Kirkland

Not sure how it rolls with Vodkas, but I know with brown liquors if you buy cheap sh*t you will feel the difference in the morning.

I thought vodka really didnt have a taste? But in my experience the feeling after a night of cheap alcohol is tremendously diff from premium stuff. But again I dont drink gin or vodka so I may be off base here.

I've been paying extra for " top shelve" vodka for years.

Both of the above mentioned will get you where you are going. Just how bad you want to hate yourself in the morning is the real question.

Here is the thing about Costco's "Kirkland" brand liquor/wine/beer. It is indeed the same premium liquor but they purchase the barrels/inventory that didn't make their cut. The vodka may have more impurities or a discrepancy in flavor that does not pass their strict test but I'm sure if you chill it the average palate won't know the difference.

got an idea for you.. buy the kirkland, grab a few empty bottles of GG and fill w/ the kirkland. i guarantee u that when u bust it out no one will even know the difference except u.

I forgot to add that sometimes they contract work out (I know they do this for other products too) where the product is made in the same region/factory and uses the same materials/ingredients.

SHit, I'm cashing out for bottle service friday and saturday night so its not like I'm being cheap...The pre-party alcohol is the only thing I'm actually trying to save a little cash on
But thanks for the input guys...if it is the same, I'll find out very soon

I don't doubt this but are they made with the same standards and go through the same quality control? I have had the Kirkland Macallan 18 and it was made by Macallan and aged 18 years like the rest of it's scotch but it was not the same. But for the money it could not be beat.

this is a great topic,
i know that what you spend is what you get in regards to tequila, but I didnt know this about vodkas. I'm not a vodka drinker, but this is good to know.
with Tequilas, I don't touch the garbage stuff like sauza and don julio. fuck that shit.
same is true with cognacs and dark spirits.
case in point, i tried "cisco" a few years back, needless to say , NEVER AGAIN. haha

And" I love goose cause i dont get hung over on it" Fuck that shit bitch, buying you kirkland but a pimps drink goose. They wont know the difference. Shit works good with a empty bottle of captain morgan, then you put in the i cant believe its not captain bottle. They never know the difference, until they wake up in the morning.

as far as tequilas, ive always liked don julio along w/ petron. waht would u consider a good tequila around the same price point as the 2 above?

I would say "milagro" or "corralejo" are both good. Don julio and patron are the best but the two mentioned above are ok. If i'm desperate i'll go with some 1800 silver. somewhere in the middle is asombroso or heradura.

For some reason I can't do Don Julio...I had Milagro last week for teh first time and its actually not too bad, Another cheap, but smooth (to me) Tequila is Cazadores.

yeah i was confused cuz u were referring to the don julio as garbage. agreed cuervo is crap.
corralejo(blue bottle) is pretty as well as tres generaciones. was lovin it in mexico cuz the resort had like 20+ different tequilas including top shelf for free so rather than wine tasting i was tequila tasting.

I read both bottles and they are bottled in different distilleries in the same country, FRANCE. Kirkland is good. You really wont care after the first few shots. Just put it in an empty bottle of Grey goose. No one has to know.

I've always liked my hard alcohol clear (as all Eastern Europeans do) and that Kirkland "W"odka has always been cool with me, Grey Goose or not.

I agree with you...I'm typically a Hennessy person, but since most of the people wanted Grey Goose for our bottle service, I'm gonna be stuck drinking this shit for the weekend.

+1 had me trashed on 3 shots in the hot P.I sun.
My friend told me to put raisins in the bottle and wait a couple weeks and shoot it again. Made it hella smoother.
Crazy Horse had me blitzed too. I swear that tropical sun gives you the fattest hangovers..
