Alex, looks promising but again, thumbnails don't tell the story.

That could be a $250 paint job from Maaco. Just have to see it in person to tell for sure.

I'd still favor the orange one personally, but I just couldn't park that car in front of my office without raising some serious eyebrows, lol.

Its smogged and its black. Not some flashy "OMGZ THAT SO COOL" paint.

i actually called the dude for the hell of it and that was my impression of dude. the guy sounded disinterested when i asked if he could send me larger pics and almost pissed. maybe i caught him at the wrong time but damn...is he trying to sell a car or what? lol

You know Alex, that sort of thing is far too common when it comes to these 5 liters. I have seen it first hand on several occasions now. I'll contact someone to ask some questions they left out in their ad, and they will take offense and make me feel like I am inconveniencing them by trying to understand what I would potentially be buying.

On the other hand, we have a lot of tire kickers and dreamers on CL. If he has tried to sell this car before, maybe he is fed up with dealing with people who aren't genuinely interested.

I plan to give him a ring this weekend and see what he has to say, assuming he still has it. If the car doesn't have AC, that's a deal breaker for me however.

The car looks very clean, but of course I should hold off judgement until I see it in person. I am also a big fan of orange as you don't see it very often.

Do you recall if the car had AC and was the motor bay painted?

I dont think the AC worked but the engine bay was black so they did not pull the engine out but you can tell someone put a lot of hours into that paint job.
