sounds good and the price is reasonable but pics are way too small. dude doesnt have larger pics of the car and sounds like a punk kid that would be driving it through the side shows in oakland.

how do you "know" its been swung a lot? Are you judging it just because of how it looks, ie: paint color, rims, etc? I'm sure ALL used mustangs on craigslist have been swung or seen a burn out at least once or twice, so please enlighten me...

Back to the topic... I'd pick it up for that price if the interior is as clean as the exterior. Kinda reminds me of the orange used on my old "SF Giants Coupe" [patriot] Looks like a good deal if you compare it to all the ghetto coupes on CL nowadays [Wink]

Pretty much. Its in the bay area, its a coupe, its got a flashy paint job. Theres a good good chance its been at a few sideshows. I will not touch a fox body thats in the bay area unless it has a 50+ year old owner. Thats just my opinion so leave it at that.

You're from Loomis (where ever that is)...I think you need to come out of your shell and open your eyes! Not all cars in the bay area are beat on, nor do all of them go to the sideshow. [Roll Eyes] I know exactly what your thinking too...candy paint + chrome rims = ghetto sideshow car...but on the contrary, I know of a few coupes with chrome and candy and the owners are far from ghetto. My old coupe had chrome and candy and I'm not ghetto, nor was the cop/police officer (OPD) that owned it before me! So, I think if you're going to be this paranoid about "nice/clean" cars, you might as well stick to your $700 projects that need $10K+ worth of work to be on the same level as cars similar to the one in the ad. Now, this is MY OPINION, so lets leave it at THAT. [Wink]

Lol at that. New tranny= 500 bucks, new fender and headlight support=100 bucks. 1300 bucks all together so try again.

Im staying away from fox bodies all together because 95% of them are ragged POS. especially those in the bay area. Ive seen the "sideshows" and shit out there. I know what people put those cars through.

and i never said all fox bodies are beat on. I'm saying a good amount of them are. So dont get your panties in a bunch. Its my money. I can do whatever i want with it. If i decide i dont want to buy some flashy fox body because i have a feeling its been beat on then thats my choice and not yours. I'd MUCH rather have a unmolested car that i know that hasnt been ragged and swung at every corner and if you have a problem with it. I can care less

Its a weak opinion but it sure has saved me from buying a beat down piece of shit.

Oh and let me tell a short story. I went to look at a 88GT and the owner was saying the car is perfect and was never abused. I was buying it and he went into the house and left the little 4 year old girl outside with me and she said "Daddy and me did circles in parking lots!" I didnt think nothing of it until i bought it home and looked at it and noticed the car is leaning to the left pretty low and the torque boxes where bent to shit.

Thats what made me make that "weak opinion" and im sticking by it.

Well theres 2 things I gotta say:

1. you got fucked over and should have checked it before you bought it

2. dont judge a book by its cover! If you have such strong opinions about this car, go look at it in person and then give your opinion.

With that being said, not all cars in the Bay Area are sideshow cars just because of their paint, rims, or whatever characteristics you used to assume this is a beat up car. Its just not cool...especially since this car looks tits and REAL mustang enthusiasts can agree with me!

I think the car is awesome and i would definetely buy it if i had the extra money but i would have been superrrrrrrrrrrrr cautious and probably had it taken to a shop to have it looked over but i'm in the process of buying a 2003 cobra so i have to keep my funds for the downpayment.

thats exactly what ive been trying to say. It could look nice but it could be a pos with a paint job on it or it could be an actual well kept fox that was cared for.

I am definitely diggin this car.

But the comments above are true, you can't judge a car by some thumbnails.

Damn, now this car is on my mind! lol

I am imagining it on some high end wheels.

I went to go look at the car about a month ago when it was up before and the exterior is flawless paint is done nice the Interior could use work but not torn up. I was considering buying this car but I'm not sure how I would work with that color I guess not my style

Do you know if the car has a salvage title?

What makes you say that? It's a fox with a paint job that is priced at $5500. Seems completely believable and reasonable to me.

Because 90% of the parts he listed says its new. The paint job was probably about as much as the car is now if its that good of a quality. How the hell did he dump all this money into this car only to sell it for 5500 obo? Ive seen regular stock coupes go for that much.

either this car isnt smoggable or it has some kind of problem that is turning potential buyers away from it when they go to see it.

Dude, I'm sorry to keep picking on you but you have some of the poorest reasoning I've heard! Why would you assume (again) that there is something wrong with this car??? Like everyone else knows, you never get back what you put into a car. Its actually priced very fair, and if its a stock motor (with newer parts) with a clean paint job, $5500 isnt too little to ask, nor does it make it too good to be true. I really dont understand your thinking, sorry [Confused]

I'm buying a Terminator in 2 weeks..No further discussion about that.

and once again if i'm going to put all this kind of money into a car. I wouldnt sell it right after. Usually people assume stuff like that if they see all this new this new that rebuilt this rebuilt that. Its a nice car and everything but why is on the market this long for a reasonable price yet no one has bought it yet? Someone find out if its smog legal.

Why don't YOU call him and and ask if its smog legal if you're concerned so much. Most people that buy used mustangs know that almost any aftermarket parts throw it off the "smog legal" chart, but not too many really give a shit. You obviously care so much, so CALL! his number is right there in the ad [Roll Eyes]

Wetting myself, no. Interetsed in it, no. I'm just emphasizing that you need to re-analyze what you say about cars since you obviously dont really know what you're talking about, nor do you seem to know how to determine whether its a good or bad ride [patriot]

Luke all the jambs were painted (door, trunk, and hood) and it wasn't a cheap paintjob either when i was going to purchase the car it was smogged i believe the month before so im sure the guy will smog the car. The interior was pretty good no gangster lean but the rear seats didn't match the front ones. I could tell some of the pieces were from other cars so i wouldn't trust the mileage unless i see carfax and the guy was a white guy trying to be thug but he seemed like a cool dude.
