So we went to sac raceway a long time ago I let compSVT borrow my n2o preassure guage which was still on my bottle, I grabbed my bottle and unscrewed the guage in his garage but I forgot the bottle in his garage later on I try to get the bottle back he tells me to forget about it cuz it's gone

Now I know this will stir shit up BUT is my back against the wall? What would you do? I really wanna hear his side of the story as well...

its the little crap in life that will kill ya!
stangsally sold me a set of polyurethane mounts that were covered in grease, but because i know him for over 10 years i don't bother wiping them down because he wouldn't do his friend dirty but i guess that was my mistake!
i finally wipe them down to install them on my car guess what there blown out, no biggie joey is my friend, i call him up..........you know what this c$%k sucker tells me? "they weren't broken before i sold them to you" so i tell him "yo Ricky has been asking me for days when were gonna put them on my car, and they have been sitting in the same place since i got home with them ask Ricky" Ricky is one of joeys good friends.
so then he tells me "what do you want me to do"
so i say "well i just called to give you a chance to make it right......i mean we are friends"
this punk ass fagot tells me "well im not in the business of giving refunds im in the business of selling parts" omg if he was in front of me i could have snapped his neck!
just remember its the hard times and the bull $h!t that define us!

well you guys all know my well chronicled issue with a member here. But like FR said, it is the little things that get people killed. I chose the high route on my issue. If it is not worth it to you as well. I would tell you to chose the high route and just let it go. I believe in karma, so in the end folks will get it 10 fold if he did you wrong.

Yeah. There's a guy on here that always has something for sale. He kinda "got one over on me" in that he got the better end of the deal by a long shot. I bought a pair of "ready to run" parts that I ended up sinking hundreds of dollars into at a machine shop and hundreds more on replacement parts.

The difference, for me, is that when I buy something used, I'm aware of the risks involved. I look the parts over and try to get a feel for their condition, but I can't see everything, all the time (it's possible he didn't either).

Yup...this is a good man right here. Still got that brake club and use it still I've had pretty much all good deals here too:
Albert (fastertoys) hooked me up with a variety of parts and even a shotgun ...John (blown67) met with me a few times and even let me bring home a set of rims to try without giving him money or anything in collateral, Sal (fostang) hooked meup with some stuff when I had the notchback, Charles (CM4Hawks) hooked me up with some Griggs shit, Vin (Stangin') bought stuff off me a couple times, Alex (Venomous99) bought side mirrors off me, etc., etc...all the people I've dealt with that didn't flake out have been good

ITS A LONG SOTRY
To answer N8 a very long time ago I was gonna buy a 98 cobra motor from compSVT I have him $500 to hold it and when we pulled the motor I'd give him $700 more so he takes off to mexico on a trip with the $500 he left me the car while he was gone cause he didn't have anywhere safe to park it for a month or something

I drove the car around a bit, and I will admit I dogged the thing a little but no more then he regularly does so before I he got back I did minor a tune up on it plugs, oil, and filters he got back everything was good then a couple weeks later he says I fucked up his car and he pissed wont talk to me bla bla bla turns out it was his o2 sensors which I had told him to check long before any way eventually he got over it

Fast forward to like 2 years later still haven't got a motor or my $500 compSVT and another mutual friend of ours got into an argument, so I figured I better get my stuff from him I text him when can I go get it and he tells me "good luck" and that pretty much sums it up from what I can remember

parts and i am very honest with everyone
i have been on this forum for many years with
no problems period, i sold a set of used
motor mounts to a buddy, i drove the car
with no problems the day before i pulled
the 331 which i parted out mostly on here
and ebay long story short the mounts were
off the 331 and there were many people that
seen the 331 the mount were used but not broke,
if they were broke i would have never sold
them and also i never sold them to fr50
they were sold to a mutual freind in which
fr50 got them from so now they are third
party mounts so i get a call from fr50 around
2 months after originaly sold, to him claiming
they were broke so now we have the whole he said
she said needless to say me and fr50 have spoke
after he already publicly bashed and tryed to
draging my name threw the mud i am going
to give him his money back not because im
scared of him at all but because the $30-40
is about what are freind ship is worth to me
as of now this is squashed im not here to stir
shit im just trying to clear myself of this
b.s that should have never been brought to this
board end of story.

this lame calles me back and yells some more and so do i then the phone hangs up again and i go about hanging out. two hours go buy and i call joey back and lol apologize for the way i acted, and he proceeds to tell me that i need to erase all the bad stuff i wrote about him because this is how he makes a living............wow should of thought about that before you got shady huh!
any ways we start to work it out and then he gets ballsy and calls me out again like hes a bad ass lol. but then calms down again and tells me "what ever ill give you your money back and the part i traded him" OK no big deal this is where i get hot again he then tells me "its no sweat off my back ill just sell them to some one that doesn't know any better".............wow for f#$king real..........is this guy a joke or what?

ive had a situation on here but im no going to put no ones name on blast i dont get down like that but he sold me an stock short block for a 100 i put new rings and crank kit in it but didnt get it magged i put the engine together and it was all bad. i hit him up and he tells me he will make it right. a while after that to make it right he has a centerforce flywheel he wants 200 for he tells me give me a shifter and 40 and well call it even. i get the flywheel and put it in and my car shakes like crazy then i take it back out and find out its a zero balance so i call him and he says no its the right one for a 302 i tell him i talked to centerforce and its a zero balance then he tells me he dont know.im out hella time and money but i choped it up as a loss sometimes its just not worth it

He wanted to buy my fiancees ski boat that ended up being sold to one of her family members, after I had agreed to sell it to Don ,unfortunately it was my fiancees boat and ultimately it was her decision. Other than that I haven't had any issues with Don.

Dude you are a piece of work. You know as well as I do that is NOT my transmission. The trans I sold you was a PERFECT working unit that was out of my 86 GT that ran PERFECT every pass. I sold you that trans last Jun and in Jan you called saying something about "clutches not all being the red ones". I said if that was the case I would pay for the clutches. I have ALL the PM's still! I can post them if you would like!

You called me saying it was all torn apart by some fly by night shop in San Jose. I asked why was it all torn apart? You said you were adding a transbrake, being it didn't have one. At that point you could have had your NEW $40.00 Raybestos Red Clutches installed! So whats the problem? You said everything else was fine but it didn't have the clutches.

You felt impelled to put the guy working on the trans on the phone and he sounded like some 17 year old that didn't know the english language and every other word was Fuxx this and Fuxx that blah blah blah. I asked if his shop was a trans shop he said NO IT WAS NOT, I then said I have nothing else to say to you. I asked to talk to you. Again offered to buy you NEW Raybestos Red Clutches. You said you would get back to me, now its March?

You got a C-4 Transmission that has been 10.08 at 138 and NEVER skipped a bat, 4k Stall Converter,B&M Shifter w/Cable, Driveshaft, Crossmember, Trans Cooler for $795.00 All of which was out of my Black Car, you saw it in the car before you bought it! And I got this setup from another well respected CAfords member!

Lie, oh I dont know bud why would you? Supposedly my trans was going to be installed by John B back in Jun (he had your car at the time), you were in a hurry to get it to him the day you bought it. However 6 months after the purchase you said you installed some other C-4 you just happened to have lying around. What happened with the trans between Jun and Jan? Why did you buy mine if you had another?

Hey things happen, in the business I am in. I deal with alot of parts and many of them are used. I try and keep drivetrain parts in the cars so people can see they work or that thye run.

If there was a problem with the trans why did it take 6 MONTHS to get back to me? You as well as I know I offered to replace the clutches you claimed weren't what they were supposed to be. I offered on many occasions to replace them.

actually i had a tko500 i bought the clutch and flywheel well i was thinking of going with a 5 spd so i decided to go with a auto that when i bought yours the reason it wasnt installed that same week john was puting together my whole suspension and fuel system so i decided to take it to the shop and make sure everything inside was going to handle my enegine thats when i had the suprise so i decided to trade my tko and $1000 for a mighty mite c4 with a manual valve body with a transbrake and a deep oil pan.but if you wana set up a race im down for it for cash

Wow, some of you guys have had some bad experiences!

My experience with buying and selling used parts on cafords has mostly been positive. But then again I will typically ask a lot of questions and request pics before agreeing to meet anyone.

The worst experiences I have had on here involved people being extremely late (like 1hr late while calling every 10min and saying they are just a few minutes away).

I once had a cafords member meet me and they brought the wrong part, lol.

But I have yet to be completely ripped off by a cafords member.

It's certainly happened a couple times on the corral, where the transaction is faceless via UPS/Fedex however.

Some of you guys in the used car parts business, I am surprised it does not happen more often quite frankly.
