has anyone here gone to UTI in sacramento to the automotive program.am interested in the diesel program!thanks for any inputs

Don't act like a stupid mother fucker by blowing a fortune on a worthless and overpriced school like UTI. Plus, UTI graduates are not only broke, but they are as dumb as a rock as well.
Second, don't be fooled by the fancy UTI ads in the car magazines that show young punks working on Ford GT super cars. This is fantasy, not reality
Third, out of all the skilled trades like electrical, plumbing and elevator repair, auto mechanics have the lowest wages and the highest cost for tools and equipment, not to mention the "flat rate" pay system that a lot of shops use so I would think long and hard about your career choice. If you really want to become a diesel tech, I would recommend applying to a Junior college automotive program.

i agree with most of what you say about uti an being auto mechanic go to a jr college
but being a flat rate tech you can make money if your at a dealer i was making good money before the dealer i was working went under an i have seen techs make 200k+ plus a year

^^Someone still has his bicycle pump wedge up his ass! A really good friend of mine went to the Phoenix facility and then proceeded to go to the Mercedes program. At the age of 23 he was making 60k a year. Now at the age of 27, he makes well over 85k a year (bring home).

I highly doubt 70k but I know there is a lot of money invested. Everything is paid off now and when the trucks show up, he TRIES to find something to buy. Also, his dealership provides a few of the "specialty tools".

trust me inless he still has a beganer set then he has money it in his tools or he could be one on those guy how barrows every one tools to make money i just so you know i have been working for dealer ships for close to 11 years

i am not say it's bullshit it just the cost is so high now you can go to a jc for next to nothing
when i went to trade school 15 years ago i paid alitle over 10k now the this schools are close to 35k plus

yup true .ive gotten finalcial aid and the thing is i dont need any private loans or anything ,but was thinking to go to a junior college am gona see my options and decide.thanks
