with gm in shambles and toyota reputation going to the shitter, the outlook for ford looks pretty good. sales up 43% year to year in feb, surpassed gm in sales for the first time in a long time, stock is up more than 6x from a year ago and still climbing.

anyone else capitalize on ford stock during these hard times?

Ya I have some stocks not much. I would buy more but I'm limited because of the wife [Frown] .

I was looking at their stock when it was floating around two bucks. Too bad I didn't jump on it.

Regardless of stock price, I was thinking what you posted just a few days ago. Toyota fucked up big time with a death toll over 30 people. GM is garbage since they accepted any help from big bro.

I'm definitely more proud to drive one.

yeah toyota f'ed up on the QA and swept a lot of the issues under the rug by dismissing these events as user error. shit..they blamed it on a mechanical issue but the so called fix included a software update? no doubt toyota will recover from this and will be a better company so the question is....when shall u buy their stock? there is always opportunity to capitalize on these bad times so shall u short em or buy low? haha

The Explorer recall..... what BS. They blamed the entire problem on the vehicle. Being a mechanic and working in a tire shop for a long time I saw a lot of Explorers and can tell you the rear tires had wear issues when they weren't rotated and ran underinflated. I saw several that were almost or were into the belts on the edge from not being taken care of properly. I attribute a good portion of it to the wear patterns of the factory Firestone tires, they always had a bad wear pattern.

I got super lucky I invested like 4 gs in Ford when they were like 85cents a share. I haven't looked in awhile but I'm pretty sure that I'm doing pretty good right now

lowest they hit was 1.50 around march. at any rate you're doing pretty good.
4k at 1.5/share = ~2666
todays price of $13 a share
2666*13=~34k
