Does anyone have pics of a 18x10 rim with 275's? I know wider is better and 295's would usually fit well with these rims but the tires I need a very expensive and I could get 275's for a fraction of the cost. Will they for ok?

You may have curb rash issues but I'm not sure haven't tried that size. I know 275's work real well on 9" wheels though

They look ok on a fox with a 10" rim, but on an SN95, the tire looks too small IMO...

ian unless you're saving like 500 on tires, id spend the extra money and get the right size. u wont be happy with the 275s in the rear and will kick yourself for getting them. whats your budget? i think if u do enough searching on ebay and check out deals offered by discount tire u should be able to get a pretty good deal on tires around 250 each for the rears.

Alex, it will be saving me about $500+ hahah. I found a set of slightly used 275's for $95/pair...when the 295's are about $275 each. Might be worth it in the meantime [Big Grin]

what does it matter youll probablly sell the car or rims before you actually find what your looking for.. [Razz]
did you ever get the rims you wanted?

Posted by STREETFIGHTER50 (Member # 2973) on :

depends what brand too. a sumitumo 295 is probly smaller than a good year 275 lol [Razz]

Yes, post pics please. I bought the tires (talked him down to $50/pair [Big Grin] ) so I want to see how they look before I get them installed. Thanks!

IMO the 275 looks like crap on a 10" wheel. I had 285/35's on the back and even those didnt fit the rim correctly so those are now on the front and I went to a 315! I wouldnt get anything less than a 295, IMO [patriot]

On an SN95, or New Edge, I will agree, but on a Fox, a 275/40/17 looks good on a 10" wheel....

That looks tight!. My issue was that the tire looked stretched on the wheel. It could be tire brand related however. I had a Mich Pilot 285/35 that looked awful on the 10" wheel but looks great on the 9" wheel.

Yo Dustin that doesnt look bad at all. Aside from not having super chunky tires to drool over when someone is driving behind you, they fit really well in my opinion. The tires dont looed stretched at all and from the side it looks filled really well. Thanks for the pics bro [patriot]

18" 99-04 chrome Saleens (non-replicas!)...wasn't my first choice, but after browsing several forums and seeing the best combo, the chrome saleens looked the best out of all the non-high dollar wheels. Plus I got a good deal on these real saleens so I had to get them [Big Grin]

275/40/17 on 17x10 looks flush on my rims and they are Nitto 555r which typically run smaller.
