Anybody got any tips/tricks to removing linoleum glue off concrete? Preping it beacause I am having tile laid.
1. I tried using a scrapper (time consuming and kills my back)
2. Used a iron to heat up the glue (works good but killed my iron)
3. used a torch (works good but some areas just won't heat up)
4. This was my last resort and pretty dangerous lol I poured lighter fluid on the glue and torched it actually worked hella good but the fumes are killer!!!
I was thinking of using some air craft chemical stripper. There's just some spots that are not budging.

as long as you get it pretty close you should be ok, the hardy backer and thin set should take up any uneven spots in the floor, and if its not to the floor guys liking they prob have a few tricks

Don't think he's gonna use hardybacker on a concrete slab
but if the area is not to big where the glu is not comming up you can probly morder right over it as long as the glue doesn't stick through

Number 1 is how you do it. I suggest homedepot on howe before 9 am the best workers are gone by then just get one of them he will have it done by lunch, let him know know lunch is provided with a 6 pack. He will get real jazzed.

Lol I bet them mexicans would scrape it up with their fingernails less then 5minutes. I'm probably gonna give the chemicals a shot today I need to remove the cabinents to get the linoleum underneth. If I'm not logged in tonight I prolly died of fumes.
