Did some changes on the fox. Installed my steeda aero spoiler, 86 GT tail lights and got my personalized plates. Makes the ass end look real appealing if you ask me. Also installed a set of HID's a little while back. Figured id see what you ladies thought about it [Big Grin]

Lookin tough!

Love the 275 MTs on some 17x10s

By the way, what you using for the HIDs? Just the bulbs? or did you get an HID kit?

needs the tailpipes to fill in the openings!

Never seen that wing with a cobra bumper before. looks nice

Luke96svt: i sprung for a complete 8k HID kit. Love the light output and its not ricey blue. It has the high and low beams but i never use the highs. wheres pics of your ride on the saleens?

Bladex10: Bro you took the words out of my mouth. I cant wait to have some polished tail pipes sneaking out the back of that thing. But i still need to do my panhard bar and it will definitely conflict with a cat-back. So im gonna get one after i finish the rear suspension.

Mike D: Paint would have this looking like a whole different car. Just gotta get my cowl hood and then its ready. Still have some other projects to do suspension wise so i will paint it after. Plus its going back black so i gotta get it done right and get new mouldings etc. gonna get pricey. Should be flat black here in a few months. But i got and upgraded trans, gears and a new trak-lok coming soon so i will be ready for ya.

92GT50: Thanks for the compliments bro. I figured the placement of the sticker would stand out. Paying homage to the ricers a little bit. plus the bumper is primered so im not worried about it being on the paint.

CaliforniaGT: Thanks bro

Rigo5.o: Yeah man she is coming along. Cant wait till its presentable

I agree with the comment about the tailpipes being a good addition.

At the risk of hijack, I do have a lil teaser shot. Once the rain clears up, I will try to get Epik to shoot this thing so I can finally have some high resolution shots with the new wheels. Since you last saw it, I dropped it another 1/2", installed new headlights, and added fox Tokico Blues.

Gonna be doing the pinion seal this weekend, front alignment, and installing Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. Then there aign't much else besides the midpipe and that's all she wrote.

Don't see that spoiler too often, I've always liked it. Looks great on the car. Just a suggestion, the back end would look complete with the striped lenses i.e. Cobra, SVO. Looks good though.

I think I may be the only one who doesnt like that wing. But the HIDs are cool.

Rigo5.0 Yeah bro i had posted up some videos of it a while back. its running good but still needs some fine tuning. i dont think its where it should be yet but only the dyno will tell

JoeFox87 : im running a kit from xentec that has the slim HID modules. pretty slick. I will take some pics of how i installed it.

Sidewaysix : i would be honored if you copied my style [Big Grin] i havent seen that wing too often so i gotta whore it up while i can.

Wildfire, Venumousnotch, snakebit95, 1sic50 : Thanks fellas

Blown67 : only You john would say some shit like that. i love it. hahah

Luke96svt : No saleen spoiler? PAINT IT REDFIRE!!!!

UhOh50 : i have been debating picking up a set of cobra tails from blown67 but im not sure how the lines would look... i may have to test fit some though

Stangin : Yeah man i think it will be a whole new car once its sprayed. honestly i have debading on going silver or purple with it so it will stand out a little more. but i dont know what will happen

N8 : BLASHPEMY!!!!!

Lx306hatch Man im glad the car is getting good reviews while its still a bucket. And i highly recommed the wing. I need to have someone drive my car so i can ride behind it and see how it looks. But this wing costs mad cheddar. like 350 bucks before shipping. I just got lucky and found one on CL for CHEAP!!!

Looks good kanye. Far cry from when it was sitting in my driveway last year...

BTW, if you are worried about tailpipe fitment with a MM panhard bar, Flowmaster & Dynomax tailpipes will fit with no issues.

3" catback would be an overkill for your setup. i'd recommend you stick with 2.5, it can handle plenty of power plus it's probably cheaper too.

Yeah i know it would kill my much needed back pressure and hurt my low end probably. Just sounds tight. lol

abominable snowman : You a fool man. hahah

U don't need 3", plus it will NEVER fit with a PHB.

I had to do quite a bit of clearancing of the tailpipes on my fox to clear the MM panhard, but I do think it was worth it.

Stick with the Dynomax 2.5" pipes and you should be fine.

And ya, I am sticking with the stock wing for now. Paint work is expensive!

What color you painting your fox?

On my fox I was using a stock 93 cobra catback (which have longer mufflers) which caused some interference on my 93 coupe.

With the 96 Cobra, I clear by a mile with the stock catback.

Stangin: I have a small connection on paint. the same guy that sprayed my cobra will likely be doing my fox. He did a good job considering what i paid. Silver would be actually a color ive always wanted but i dont want it looking like FR5.0 's

Skywalker: You know i was going to order summits cat back which i believe is modeled after the dynomax one and much cheaper. my buddy runs it on his and it looks/fits really well. I will probably go back black since it will work best with work i have planned for my wheels.
but this time around though im going to spend the extra dough and its getting jambed, new mouldings and buffed. still have this crazy idea for a deep puple fox......

I have definitely thought about a DSG or grey fox. I hit two problems though. one is that carajo's cousin or friend has a GT that's a mineral grey with saleen sc's. Second is that the paint doesn't really POP, especially on a cloudy/gloomy day. Then again I haven't seen many DSG/grey stangs in person so I might be trippn.

The '66 coupe is coming along. It should be done within a week or two. My fastback is another story... probably a few years on that one. Thanks for asking.

Sonic Blue... [dance]

Posted by Luke87GT (Member # 21) on :

How about Burnt Orange?

Bright Atlantic Blue?

I would definitely do a Flashy color that turns heads. You can save the DSG for when you are retired and don't want the attention [Wink]

Given that the car is already Black, a very clean gloss black would be slick too. Look at Sunny's former car.

FR5.0, the stock 93 Cobra Cat-back has slightly different dimensions then the 87-93 GT/LX 5.0

My coupe, for some reason, had that cat-back on it when I bought it from the previous owner. Maybe he thought there was a performance gain with it or something since it came off a Cobra. Who knows.

A little clearancing and slight rotation of the tailpipes, and it cleared the Panhard just fine.

Hope that clears things up.

Tha91sickness : I had actually considered sonic blue and figured the black engine bay wouldn't look bad with that color. But I have to jamb EVERYTHING and that's what I'm afraid of

Luke96svt I have seen some really clean black cars but I do want something that's really gonna stand out so people know its me. I will really have to start a poll once it gets to be that time. As far as oranges go I love that berrylium saleen uses

It certainly stands out! That color would really pop with some chrome wheels too. -
