Pacquiao claims and statements about Mayweather making ridiculous demands to make fights is horse shit compared to his catch weight antics...I will never be a fan of Pacquiao and lost all respect for him based on how he has handled himself in regards to his boxing career...

Pacquiao has agreed to fight Clottey at 144lbs...Clottey has not fought at that weight in this decade...Last time he was that light was March 1997...He typically fights at 147 or 154 and is consider a big welterweight...Handicapping another opponent seems fair...No drug testing either...What a joke...I can not believe people are supporting Manny " Mark Mcgwire" Pacquiao...
The article also speaks about why Manny passed on fighting Malignaggi, Marquez, and Foreman...

Mayweather now wants to move on to fight Moseley...or the winner of the Moseley vs Berto fight at 147...He says he will fight on March 13 at the MGM grand probably as another tune up fight before fighting the winner of Mosely vs Berto in May or June...He wants to shut up people talking about him being a coward...

With Manny not planning on fighting again until the fall at the earliest, he probably won't get a shot at the winner of the Moseley vs Berto...and with the Golden Boy/Mayweather law suit it is probably a slim chance Manny will get a shot at Moseley any way...

HOLY MF SHIT....ok Manny fought at 147 for Cotto because we all know Cotto usually around 150-155 coming into the ring. SO I figure he would fight at the 147 limit against Clottey, which I then figured Clottey would make with little adjustment because rumor has it he walks around at 150-152. plus he fights around 147 on average. But to dip that low, nothing but seals that these catch/match weights are nothing more than a way to cripple the naturally bigger man. Why mandate 144 when the weight class states 147 limit? Manny is a fuckin joke. I have lost total respect and any admiration for him.

Actually the Cotto fight was contracted at 145 as was the De la hoya fight...

I don't like the idea of catch weights but Clottey is the one agreeing to it. Nobody is making Clottey fight Pac at 144lbs. It's his horrible decision to put his career out like that for a pay day.

Pac will abide by stricter drug testing when the Boxing Commission they all fight under mandates it. Again I agree that boxing should tighten their belts on drug tested but they are not. Unless the rules change we all live with it and move on.

Actually Manny is forcing him. Pac is the gate keeper to the the big checks in the division for right now (Floyd is too). So with that type of leverage he is mandating all kinds of weak shit. If Clottey does not do it, he is basically murdering his own career.

I love boxing as much as basketball and it is a shame what theses commissions, sanctioning bodies and promoters are doing to boxing. What ever happened to fair competition. The last fair fight Manny fought was the one he should have lost. Since Marquez he has weaseled his way to the top. Fuck Manny, Fuck Arum, I still like Roach.

Arum and Pacquiao are basically capitalizing on a hungry unpopular fighter...He has a small fan base so he can not head line a fight like Mayweather or Pacquiao...He also can not make any demands during negogiations...Cotto made 5 million in his fight with Pacquiao and I am pretty sure Clottey will make similar which is will be his biggest payday so far...Also Arum promotes Clottey so probably reduced his cut to Clottey to persuade him to take the fight...Arum said that Pacquiao will make $10-20 million for this fight...you lose $20 million on principle and your clean! I call BS! basically Mayweather was paying him $20 million to take a test he said he would pass with flying colors...At the end of the day Clottey was the only opponent that would agree to Pacquiao's ridiculous demands...I guess Clottey is confident that all Manny's handicaps won't matter...Manny probably is just not use to a fair fight...

I really hope Clottey cleans up Manny, thus cleaning up the division. Homeboy is trash and is really bad for the sport. 144? UNFUCKING believable. That is almost super lightweight. The chose another fighter from the Arum stable to circumvent the drug test topic. Also they chose against Yuri because they know how hollow that belt would become. So they are gonna put the air out there that Clottey is hungry after a upset loss to Cotto, blah blah... Also they danced around Paulie M, too because he will require a drug test. If you put it in terms of how much money he will leave on the table then...yea he murdering his own career but he does have other choices at ww. I know I wouldn't call him out for not taking the fight.

There are tons of flaws in sports and boxing is no different. Funny that you mention basketball because I'm still bitter about the Lakers pulling a trade off for Gasol for literally nothing. It's all the same. Everything has to do with money and I'd abuse it too.

Roach actually think there is a no possiblity that Mayweather will fight either Berto or Moseley...He said he thinks Mayweather is scared to lose...He then speaks about how he wants the winner of the Moseley vs Berto next...He had a chance at Moseley before Cotto and why would Moseley want to fight someone sueing his promotion company...IMO not going to happen...Maybe Berto, but I doubt Lou Dibella will allow any of his fighters to fight Pacquiao without drug tests...I actually think by december if Margarito gets his license and is in shape he will fight Pacquaio, another boxer promoted under Arum...He actually planning on fighting on the under card of Pacquiao vs Clottey...

That is my personal lit. There are some controversies in it. Like Zab or P-Dub. But at best he is fourth in the division.

I really don't think Williams would do well against either Mayweather or Moseley based on his performance in his last fight...He should have lost the fight...Also Williams said he is not coming down to 147 any more...The guy walks around at 180lbs naturally...He will only fight at middleweight...But I think if enough money is given anyone will get down a weight class of too...

Zab is a "has been' that never lived up to his potential. Zab is not a top contender at 147lbs. In fact, I think he went back to 140lbs...

Doesn't matter what happens in that fight...It will be linked to the steroids era in boxing and an asterisk will be placed next to it along with all other wins by the Barry Bonds of Boxing...Manny knocking out Clottey will be like Barry Bonds passing Hank Aaron...entertaining but means nothing because of the PEDS...

Shane, Manny, Mayweather, Berto, (I like to throw in P-DUB in this spot), Zab, Cotto.

That is my personal lit. There are some controversies in it. Like Zab or P-Dub. But at best he is fourth in the division.

Also I said he is a "Top 10" fighter. Not "The 10th best fighter". lol.
Man, you can't be serious... I thought you knew your boxing.. Cotto beat.. Cotto killed Zab, and beat Mosely so that shoulld erase them from the list.. Manny is on roids, mayweather is good but never wanted to take the fight and Bert and WIlliams are not even proven. Who have they beat?

I really don't think Williams would do well against either Mayweather or Moseley based on his performance in his last fight...He should have lost the fight...Also Williams said he is not coming down to 147 any more...The guy walks around at 180lbs naturally...He will only fight at middleweight...But I think if enough money is given anyone will get down a weight class of too...
Yea I wish he was given more shots at 147. Dude was a freak of nature in his ability to drop weight. His last fight I think should have an asterisk. He was preparing for Pavlik which was a total diff fighter than he ended up fighting. I do not see either Mosely or FLoyd being able to counter P-Dub effectively enough to win. He would win just by lookin like the busier fighter. P-Dubs biggest flaw is the warrior complex. He will try to slug it out and end up fighting shorter than he is. But I still have Cotto as a fringe top 5. I still like more of what I have seen from Zab than Cotto. But I like fast, flashy defensive fighters. So I am biased.
You liked what you seen from Zab? You must like seeing fighters on their back cuz thats where he was at most of the fight lol

All seriousness tho, Zab was one of my favorite fighters of all time.. He just had that rawness.. But when he fight Cotto I had to go with my guy..

Mayweather wanted that fight and now truely has something to prove...It has been said that most of the PEDs information came in the fight negogiations with Moseley from GBP and snow balled from there...It is like a pitcher pitching to Barry Bonds, regardless how confident you are the thought that the person your competing against is cheating just doesn't seem right and ultimately losing his undefeated record like Cotto did seemed unappealing...IMO I believe he will finally start to fight more for his legacy than the money...He had become bored with boxing recently and now with everything being said questioning his choice of opponents he will choose to fight better opponents...If Cotto fights a quality opponent to get back in premier shape I can see him fighting Mayweather before he retires...
