$145 for Uverse U-450 package and 18Meg Internet. 1 HD/DVR receiver. Basically all sports and premium movie channels and HD on all available channels. No phone. Not really satisfied with the TV service so not recommending to anyone. I get freezing and pixelation too often even after they have swapped my receiver. Internet is good except for upload. Too weak on the upload. The good thing is no contract but I haven't switched since Dish or Directv want a 2 year contract for a decent price and Comcast is not available here (Charter is cable co here)

I bought a box from ooma over a year ago and it works great. One time charge of $200 for the box and u get free unlimited calling in the US. Out of country calling is pretty cheap too.

I have no cable, just antenna and TiVo (with lifetime license so no monthly cost), good enuf for me.

Phone service: Vonage, $25 / month flat rate, had them for 5 years, never had a problem.

Internet: AT&T DSL, dry loop, $20 / month, works most of the time, works great with Vonage and Internet surfing.

Total: $45 / month.

YOU ARE ALL PAYING WAY TOO MUCH!!! I CAN HELP...i used to work for directv and im ganna give you all a lil tip that will save you money. you can pull this move once every 6-12months at least...

call your service provider. tell them that directv, comcast, att, or whoever "the other company" is offered you the same channels plus hbo, shotime, and cinemax for a lower monthly rate.

directv protocol says that if someone calls to cancel, planning on switching to another service provider, we try to keep them as a customer. we offer them a lower price and more channels, cuz in the long run well still make money off you.

i got my bill from $140 to $107 to $89 in the last 8months after learning this

this is only for the tv portion of your bill which most often is the most expensive

... oh and if it works for you... you officially owe me a beer. cheers. [patriot]
