i got all mine from a guy at work. I know wild sports in orangevale sells the complete guns. I bought just lowers and put them together myself. Spikes tactical sells lowers that are not on the ban list. Call around to some gun stores. However if you dont build it yourself it will have fixed magazine, more than likely welded.

i don't know what gun shops are in the 209 but one of them has to sell ca legals ARs.
You can build your own too, you just need to find a shop or an FFL dealer that sells the lower reciever.

Go to calguns.net and read through the forums. They have all the info you would ever need on ARs.

Warhorse,
Get yourself a Stag-15 OLL Lower reciever and build the gun yourself for cheaper.
Check irvington arms in fremont.
Thanks,

I can't stand this place... They looked at me crazy when I asked them about AR parts a few years ago... Now they are selling overpriced AR's.
As stated above Irvington arms is a good spot to check out. Real nice people there.

I would sell my Bewoulf for the right price! My newest rifle was built for $600 after everything.
ddsranch.com had the S&W rifle on sale a couple months ago for $800. Two of my coworkers bought them at that smoking price.

i'd build a bewoulf if it shot the big .50cal ammo. I was a little disappointed when i saw the ammo yours shoots. by the way christmas eve day my bro and i are going to go down and shoot my new setup and might swap my high mag scope from my old setup onto my Rem700.

The Solano County Fairgrounds gun show was full of complete AR15's, and most were in the $900 to 1,200 range. It's cheaper to buy a lower and build one, but a factory fitted complete unit is fun right away...10 days later

You need to see what damage it causes. It tore thru cinder block just like the videos. A few months back we went to my buddies property 500 acres in the middle of nowhere and brought tons of fun targets

I have this DPMS upper, and a Del Ton complete lower w/6 pos stock.
$300 upper (bought used from coworker less than 150 rounds thru it, came w/a new UTG rail still in the box, and 200 rounds of ammo. Got a good deal
$220 lower (shipped completely assembled to FFL)
$25 bullet button
$35 DROS
peachstateguns.com had some complete rifles starting at $600 (+$25 to make ca compliant)

thats a rip off just seen those all day long at the gun show for $1600. the SR556 is a nice gas piston rifle but there are better gas piston rifles and depending on what you going to use it for a D.I. setup may suite your needs. irvington was just running a special for i think it was $1300 OTD on a complete rifle.to the OP what city do you live in? also check calguns.net and do some research im already working on my 3rd and just got my ca legal AK.

for duracoating? i was looking for someone local, i don't like the idea of sending my gun anywhere. I'd rather do it in person make sure they are a honorable person.
I didn't get to go shooting yesterday, my brother works nights and he slept longer than he thought he would so it was dark by the time he woke up. Its all good though i installed my Hood on the Fastback.

heres a pretty good deal:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=251781
this plus what ever your lower cost and $20 for a bullet button and your set you will have a complete rifle for $800 or less, depending on the cost of you lower.
there are tons of build guides online calguns has a how to build you lower section also look for "aplinker" or his old name "uclaplinker" he has some pretty good links in his signature section that should pretty much give you the basis you need to get started!

warhorse if you lived closer id just say head on over and i'll show you how to put it together i have all the roll pin punches and have done enough of these to get you lower completley together in 10-15min. just fyi if you decide you want a different trigger guard or some sort of fancy tactical bolt catch buy those now and install them when doing the build the first time. rather then have to drive the roll pins out and install later on.

i'm looking to get one around feb.. just want to do my homework before i jump in... and if the offer still is there when i get it.. i'll be more than happy to drive up to you.. i don't drink but i can bring some brews for you in exchange for putting lower together..

If you want a gun already put together then try lanworldinc.com. You can get one for just under or at 1k. Stag Arms makes good products. Just like everybody else is saying you will need the push button and the 10 round mag which will cost a bit extra. Then you will need it sent to an FFL dealer and they can provide you with a name.
FYI-Walmart has a ton of 100 round 223's for 39 dollars everywhere.

yeah just let me know we can put it together. it only takes a few minutes. just make sure you get a 10rd mag or smaller and a bullet button or if you end up with a featureless upper you can bring some sort of monsterman grip with you.I'll help you do it and i just want to make sure anything we put together is ca compliant when it leaves my house.

i'm in stockton... and yeah i want it 100% legal in ca... the only shop that had lowers was, stockton gun exchange.. but all they had was 1 striped lower ($177).. there was another gun shop in town. it had functional bushmaster for 1,100. but it had the fixed clip.. but i'd rather piece mine together, and spend the extra money on shells.

i think putting it together myself is going to be the route to go.. i can't see any point in paying extra $300-500.. for the same gun.. besides i'd rather learn to do it myself.. you never know when i might want to go with a more tach gun.. right now i'm going for the m4 look.. and a good shooting base model.. nothing fancy... i can't spend all my money.. still trying to get the single diget time slip...
