Yea those cards are not fun to pay for. $50 two days ago. [Frown] Walmart lady had to pry the money from my hand. But I figure the ps3 is 300 bucks. It would take six years to payback the investment in the ps3 from savings by not buying the live membership..plus I would miss out on tons of good games and have a garbage controller. I'm sure a new system will be out by then

Plus your arguing controls. The controls are the same, you have four buttons in the shape of a diamond on the right, you have thumbsticks, and the four buttons up top.

I'm arguing the ergonomics of the CONTROLLER, two different things. The ps3 controller fuckin sucks balls. My thumbs have to stretch hella far to reach the thumb sticks and the thumb sticks on ps3 are way to sensitive to do any accurate shooting.

The 360 on the other hand emphasizes the use of thumbsticks by placing them in ergonomically favorable positions. PS3 is behind the curve on that note. PS3 controller is setup to use the d-pad predominantly(based on the layout of the controller), even though 100% of games are better with thumb sticks now.

Plus everyone argues the blue ray. Honestly I don't care about that. I buy a gaming system to play games NOT watch movies. Also who cares if you can surf the web on it. Have you used that web browser? It sucks bull testicles. Plus I have my laptop on while on 360, so I can game and surf at the same time, what you got on that? [Razz]

That's like saying I have a minivan with four wheel drive and 800+hp. I can race, take my family around, get groceries and go in the snow and off road. Yea it does a bunch of different shit, but you need to focus on what your primary goals are.

If your a nub gamer and watch more movies then ps3 for you. But the 360 is geared towards people more serious about gaming imo.

I have both 360 and ps3. . . my ps3 crapped out about a month ago and have yet to get it fixed. There's a group on ebay that repairs them, but way too lazy to send it in.

Hey, its plugged in! I haven't turned it on for a few weeks but its had a TON of use, many hours of Rock Band and Guitar Hero so far.

what is your ps3 doing, does it play movies or games? if it don't its the laser, if not its the hard drive. my friends would freeze sometimes, & he would turn it of from the back, he did that so much it mest up the hd.
i bought my ps3 used with a broken laser bout a year ago for 70$, then i bought a new laser for 60$, pretty easy to fix.

I am gonna just send it in, if I have to 149 is better that 299.

I can honestly say the PS3 controller does suck as compared to 360. But if you are a real gamer you will have both. My PS3 will get heavy rotation when God of War 3 comes out.

Xbox live pwns all. Today's gaming is all about multiplayer and the online experience and competition on live is 10x better. The subs often go on sale for 35 dollars for a full year and even retail price comes out to be a little over 4 dollars a month.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is awesome on the ps3 and xbox 360 but Xbox Live brings the experience on a whole new level on the 360. I know a few who have purchased a xbox after playing mw2 for a week and play everyday on live. Believe it or not, there are a few regulars I know who frequent the local gamestop that have stopped/postponed playing WOW to play mw2. If you are not big on the multiplayer check out the ps3 also since it can double as a blue ray player.

Maybe the launch day systems were built better than the others. I don't know but I haven't seen many any of the first systems dying, its mostly the ones purchased in the last couple years. I own both systems and they both have their pluses and minuses. If I couldn't fix my own stuff I'd never own an Xbox though, way too much trouble to keep it running.

I wouldnt say garbage, but the online stuff does suck, and it is losing exclusive titles left and right. Had 360 came correct without all the malfunctions, PS3 would have 1 foot in the grave.

I did, still don't see why its garbage?

I liked Xbox, however having it die 3 times in a year was it for me. Things I do like about PS3:

1. Controller is easier to use (for me)and has better ergonomics

2. The quality of the image on my 73" 1080P DLP TV is much higher on the PS3 then the Xbox

3. Its easier to stream movies on my home network on the PS3 then the Xbox

4. It plays Blu-Ray's so I dont have to have a seaparate Blue Ray player.

5. Dont get as many framerate glitches as i did on Xbox with the same games.

Cons:

1. I miss Halo an Forza [Frown]

they said about 5 days to get the box to ship and about 2 weeks to fix. I basically get a black screen trying to play games or dvds or blue ray. Funny thing is Madden was the only game working for a sec, but it to now doesnt work.

they said about 5 days to get the box to ship and about 2 weeks to fix. I basically get a black screen trying to play games or dvds or blue ray. Funny thing is Madden was the only game working for a sec, but it to now doesnt work.
Does the system need to have the security seal intact for Sony to do the repair? I know there are easy fixes for this stuff and you should try to do it yourself first.
