Had to put the car back on the dyno yesterday took it out in the rain just to dyno it...Wasn't expecting the gains in had just from removing high flow cats, but they were big gains...When Shaun first finished my motor, we got 330rwhp 350 torque, but we all know shaun and he said the numbers were disappointing because he expected the car to run a lot more. Thats when I told him I had high flow cats and he told me that was the problem. So after like 6 months I finally got the straight through exhaust and the numbers were 358.1 rwhp 392.2 torque. And Aed retuned the car and now perfoms like a champ. Thanks Aed always look out for me and tell me what I need to get to my goals.

Great numbers but I am scratching my head here...

You picked up 28.1rwhp and 42.2rwtq on a small cube NA application with a midpipe swap [Confused]

Your NA 306 made 392.2rwtq [Confused]

Are these SAE numbers? Pump gas? Compression?

In any case looks like AED great job. I would be very interested to see those numbers confirmed at the track.

Blueprinted 306
Good oil control
11:1
91 Octane, 31 degrees total timing
STD numbers
Snapshot was used to dyno the car, which typically reads 20ish TQ high. (inductive pickup wasn't working)

Gains from the exhaust are correct. The restrictive 2 & 1/4 stock pipes with mufflers welded in (welds inside the 2 & 1/4 pipes) were restrictive at higher RPM's.

Untouched AFR185's were used, It would have probably made more power with AFR's 165cc Competition pkg.

SAE numbers are very close to Acames's 340/340 306 from back in the day. The same cam was used actually.

Thanks for the info 93PONY.

Between STD numbers and the Snapshot, dTb would win any dyno race! [Wink]

In any case, 340/340 is SOLID! Great job once again AED! [patriot]
