Woke up this morning to 14 inches of snow. Last night I went to go pickup my brother from work and I lost control going down my driveway and smashed my frontend of my explorer into the trees. I am not going to try leaving my house when there is snow on the ground ever again. Same spot where I crashed my Jeep last winter. Driveway is just too steep and slippery

I am going to go look at the damage in a few minutes. Last night all i noticed was the driverside headlight was gone, and the bumper was pushed in

So cool, I go and check on my explorer and it slide another 10 to 20ft down our driveway and is in the ditch now. Atleast a grand in damages. Luckily no major body damage just a broken grill, headlight and bumper

Heres a pic of my Jeep, had to pull it out of its garage last night to get the tractor out to pull my Explorer out of the trees.

Yeah, should melt pretty quick now. How are the headers coming along?

Get some nice chains on all 4 tires on the jeep and then it won't slide [Wink] Thats pretty crazy what happened to the explorer. driveway must have been really icey.

you guys got a good amount of snow!

That sucks about your explorer. We got a foot and a half of snow where I live also, I didn't even try to go to work today. but my cousin had to bring his gf to work, and while leaving the driveway ( which took him 45 minutes) he managed to do damage to 3 of his vehicles, a 90' gt , 93' Coupe, and a 00' F-150. Using the 4wd truck, he slid into the Coupe first, and then proceeded up to the GT to trade some paint. luckily the snow worked as a barrier for most of the contact that was made with the Coupe. not so much on the GT.

Do you run spikes or screws in your tires? Is the drive way paved or gravel

Sounds like a product definitely worth investing in if you live where it snows frequently!! [patriot]

its newly paved and sealed so that's why its slick. Before we paved it my Jeep could drive up and down it in 4low with over a foot on it. Now it just slides off into the trees on the first turn so i am not going to leave anymore unless one of them is at the bottom of the driveway

That SUCKS! My Mustang definitely doesn't come out in the snow, not even if the roads are clear.
