i was considering buying a set a rims for the GT as i sold my old Y2Ks a while back. Was gonna buy a used set but decided to pony up and buy a new set.
Heres my dilema, when i rolled on y2k's i had 295/35s out back and they rubbed and the rims up front would rub at full turn. But the 18s looked good on the lowered 95.
I want to buy 18" Black Saleen Replicas

18x9 up front and 18x10 in the rear, but i know thats not too realistic for the rear. Fenders are rolled in rear(could be done better). What opinions do you guys have?
My 2nd option is 17" 03/04 cobras but theyre expensive ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif)

u can easily fit the 10s in the rear..heck u can even stuff an 11" if u get the right offset. id say at the min id go with a 10 in the back

Black Rims + Green Car = Ugly, just my opinion though.

I agree. Not a good color combo IMO.
I think with Green paint, silver, anthracite, & hypercoat wheels look the best...
Also, 10's, or even 10.5's will fit with no issues...

I do thank for all the opinions. I was only considering the blacks with intentions of repainting the car white at a later time. I was leaning toward the chrome.

Joe, stay away from chrome!!!! If you plan to get 17's, I'd get those foxbody Saleen replicas in silver (like streakmatt's rims). But if you want 18's , which I feel sn95's need, I'd go with anthracite since it'll look good with green and white (if you paint the car). 10" rear is nothing for the sn95 fender wells...I've got tons of clearance with 10" rears running 295-35-18 tires.

Black on a green car looks clean and different. I like that color combo. Go for it.

What do you mean your rear fenders are rolled in?
I had 10.5 with 315s on the rear of my 95GT

yup, and to those wondering about my clearence issue, i think with the shocks and springs i had it was too much. I could fit them, but hard bumps = rub.

how/why did your rear fenders get rolled in?

fender rolling tool that mounts to your axle. did it after the tires got cut once.

I sold my stock h pipe to someone on the board last year. He had a sn95 with 17 y2ks and 315s in the rear, he complained about scraping all the time.

so you rolled in the body part of the fender and not the inner fender?

i had Cobra rims with a big backspacing to fit my 315s, i never had any rubbing issues, i took them off because one time driving home on the freeway it started raining and it felt like i was driving a boat on the water, damn rearend didn't want to go the way i wanted.

yeah thats because those wheels have too much offset...not to mention 315s dont belong on a 9.5" wide wheel..if done right you can fit 11s and 315s w/ minimal mods like flipping the quads and rolling the lips.
