GT40p's. Yup, made decent numbers with the bare bones combo he's got. 85+ hp out of a cam swap with springs/rockers, LT's, and pulleys? Hmmmm....maybe...

Don't you know everything on the Corral is gospel and written in gold!?!?! Go for it!!

I'm still lost on why someone would go through the motions of doing this vs building a 10-1 shortblock with some $250 KB pistons and making some real power on the cheap, but hey...dowhatchyalike...

I think it's possible....

But I rather buy AFR 165, stock shortblock, 1.7's and be well over the 300whp mark.
Carcraft did 400fwhp with a h.o cam, 1.7's, vick Jr and stock short block ( rebuilt short block )

i don't get why nobody does what john recommends. You take that explorer engine and install high compression pistons to get you in that 10:1 balpark and all the other components he installed woth a e303 or an anderson camshaft. And make atleast 350rwhp no problem. Why buy 1500 heads and slap them on a stock low compression motor. Compression= free power N/a
