You should get a blackberry. Its worth it.

The interface and is VERY intuitive. Browsing the web, playing media and looking good is what it's best at and everyone is just a copy of it.

My experience with the iphone in business/enterprise setting was horrible to say the least. In a nutshell the 3g coverage is a bit on the slow and scarce side. Multi-tasking is impossible and email experince is sub-par. Personal use is fine but forget about pushing 300 emails a day.

Oh no, someone is going to hack my iPhone, steal my music, call my wife and read my text messages!!!! [Big Grin] Really, what does the average user need to encrypt on the phone anyway? Its not like were nuclear scientists or the guy holding on to the KFC herbs and spice recipe so what's the big deal? I LOVE my iPhone, nothing else touches it by a mile in my eyes. With cool new apps coming out every day its impossible to run out of things to do. Once its jailbroken you can download almost any app or game for free so loading up with useful or fun things is simple. Once you get tired of a game or the app, just delete it and get something else new. I'm always upgrading and looking for new toys, I've gotta be the first kid on the block with the new toy and since getting my iPhone I couldn't care less what other phones come out. I wired and installed the displays for the iPhone's at several AT&T stores and really wasn't that impressed with them until I actually got one and played with it. Try one out, you'll be hooked.

Once you stop reading all these Internet stories and get an iPhone for your self. You'll figure out that's it's the best thing out.

+1 on the iPhone. However, being tied to ATT is like a v6 in a mustang. If it ever gets opened up to other carriers, the game is over...

Rumor has it Verizon is picking it up also at the end of the year.

The other rumor is they are getting the Palm Pre. I believe that one more, as the iPhone is GSM network, Pre (Sprint) and Verizon are CDMA. The iPhone would have to be manufactured to be CDMA capable...

Yeah, my 1st gen is on T-mobile as well. There are lots of places that it will work over my 3G phone. But my 3G phone works in my house. The t-mobile iphone doesnt [Frown]

For me its diff, my phone is basically my mobile office. I write word docs and all kinds of stuff on it. Outlook stuff, schedule meetings, sunc my office outlok.... Plus I handle NDA documents and company's confidential information. I am hoping the Iphone gets to be more of a smartphone as I would love one. But security is a issue for me.

Remote wipe! Just hope it works...
It worked when I tested it, but if it doesn't, you'd never know...

Rolling with the first gen iPhone is like a V6 Stang, the 3G is a GT and the 3GS is a Cobra. I've had the first gen and it sucked ass, my 3G a thousand times better. I've got 4 T-mobile phones in the house, 3 Samsung Behold's all running on 3G and my iPhone works just as well as any of those do, we all have low signal here at our house but I'm no worse off on the Edge network.

Someone can hack my iPhone?!?! Shit, i better delete the location of the Bat Cave...

in the last 18 months, I've had the blackberry pearl (sucked) Moto Q (sucked) iPhone 1st gen (not bad) Blackberry Bold (Nice, but not perfect) and now the 3G iPhone (best so far)

the iPhone does everything i need it to do perfect. Internet is the best on any mobile device, ipod for music is awesome, built in youtube app is awesome. it handles email well enough (tho not like a blackberry) but by far, the app store is the best, stock managing apps, budgeting apps, random info apps, and the one app i found it hard to live without, the MAP! finding any business, address, phone number, and directions is so easy its crazy!

sorry ill stick to my BB storm, and though the apps might not be as good or as many compared to the iphone, the storm still works better than the iphone [Razz] Ive used my brothers iphone, ill stick with the storm [patriot]

I had the Storm for like 36 hours... i couldn't stand it. the camera and call quality was kick ass... and of course email (blackberry!) was awesome... but the "sure press" touchscreen? i think the clicking touch screen was one of the worst touchscreens i've EVER used...

if the screen swivled out of the way to reveal a real QWERTY keypad, (like a SideKick) AND had the touchscreen... it would probably be the best phone out, bar none

Posted by WIKDVNM (Member # 2805) on :

My first Storm sucked.. phone would always freeze up so I went back and they gave me a new phone with the updated hardware and have not had a prob since.. although I dont get much of a click when touching the screen like its supposed to.

I almost copped a Pre today. I really liked the interface. But lack of movie making made me choose otherwise.
