I have old oil stains on my driveway and would like to either completely remove them or make them practically invisable. Is there anything out there that might work?

try oil eater from an auto store. spray it on there, let it sit, and scrub it down with a push broom. works pretty good....

I always use Oil Eaters.

The only way I found that works is:

1.) Let the oil eater sit for 30+min
2.) Use a very coarse metal wire brush
3.) Use a pressure wash to rinse it off
4.) Repeat the procedure 3-4 times before its mostly gone.

You can rent a good pressure washer that will get it up... I use one at my work for stains on the floor.(get one that will get hot)

Theres this stuff i got from my uncle. He works at a steel mill and its some HD industrial type degreaser cleaner. Stuff works amazing its like a blueish color. Ill try to get the name of it,

My company makes a product for this very reason and the stuff works great. Its like a putty that you apply and let sit for a few hours, and it soaks up the oil/grease etc and sweeps away in a powder form. PM me for those interested, ill get pricing and avail retailers monday/tues. -Joe

i use some stuff called citrus king its an acid and biodegadable use with a pressure washer and you will have a clean driveway i actually use it remove asphalt tar on concrete drive ways and thats some hard shit to come off so oil will be nothimg for that stuff

It's really hard to get the "stain" completely out, I have tried almost everything (I pressure wash for a living). I have had really good results with a product called ZEP Concrete Cleaner. Basically follow the directions, no scrubbing and you don't need to use a pressure washer. When your done, I highly recommend that you seal your driveway it makes it 1000 times easier to get the stains out in future.

Or if you want. I can come out and pressure wash it for ya [Big Grin]

BURN IT! I lost 6 quarts on my driveway. Mopped up as much as I could then poured some old gas on it + match = 20' plum of fire. 20 seconds later fire extinguisher. Hose it down and whalla, couldn't see anything.

Most of us live in neighborhoods with other humans who would call the police and fire department immediately if they saw my driveway on fire, lol. [Razz]

We were renting at the time. I failed to video tape it. I had no idea the size of the fire would be or else I think I would have.

Fire does wonders for all kinds of things. My son got a bunch of paper towels stuck in his bike chain (don't ask). Spirt of lighter fluid and a match and whalla...took that shit right off. Along with some paint, chain guard and oil on chain. Who needs a chain gaurd anyway. Put some chain lube on and he was good to go.

Cat was stuck up a tree and whouldn't come down. Set the lower branches a-flame and whalla, cat hit the ground with a quickness. hahahaha ok the cat one didn't really happen but I bet it would. I love fire. [patriot]
